We celebrated our 54th Honeymoon here. Loved the environment of the historic Oldest Inn in Connecticut. We were referred here by the Abbey of Regina Laudis in Bethlehem CT where the famous Hollywood star - Dolores Hart - left Hollywood to become a nun and remains over 50 years to date. Checking in the desk clerk was talking about the... More

It was so nice to read your review today. I so enjoy when a guest has an experience like yours that makes a stay with us a little extra special. I remember you telling me of your first banana split shared as a couple and glad I made your "best ever". Hope you will be visiting with us again soon.... More

For those wanting an authentic "historic inn" experience, I highly recommend this one. It was built in the early 1700's (originally as a parsonage) and converted to an inn in 1756. It has all that great ambiance - creaky floorboards, 4-poster beds, etc. Wi-fi was excellent. But those who can't live without AC and ensemble bathrooms would probably be happier... More

Good morning, I am glad to hear most of your stay was well worth it. It sounds like you reserved one of our shared bath guestrooms. Aside from the 6 guest rooms we have that have a sink in the room but share a hall bath and host window fans we have an additional 11 guest rooms with private bathrooms... More

My husband and I and two adult daughters stayed in the cottage attached to the Curtis House on 7/1/15 and 8/1/15. The beds were comfortable, but, the room and the bath, especially the wicker cabinet needed a good cleaning. But, our biggest disappointment and irritation was the lack of staff for the continental breakfast. Shirley, who was manning the front... More

My favorite inn in the area closed and they recommended this. Very friendly and attentive staff. Ask about the haunted room upstairs, although I definitely suggest the carriage house however- across a short footbridge and quieter. The food, although a little cher, was excellent and almost too much.

My husband and I were able to squeak a night away without the kids and decided to try antiquing in Woodbury... we were able to book the last room available at the Curtis House and we were pleased. It was an interesting old building, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and decorated nicely and with in the style... More

Stayed there twice so far. I think it's going to be my new favorite place. The carriage house off to the side seems to be a bit quieter. First time I stayed in the main house and my room was over the kitchen and I could hear the dishwashers until the restaurant closed. It wasn't bad, but this last time... More

My husband and I spent the night at the Curtis House last week. What a cool place! The place is old (260 years!) but very clean, the food was awesome and the staff was wonderful! So much history packed into this Inn, make sure you check out the arrowhead collection, as I have never seen anything like it!

Not very many choices in Woodbury CT. I was there visiting my son who was working on the film "Delinquent " being shot there. It's no the Ritz but it's warm, cozy, charming & nice people at the front desk. It's fine for a night or two but not a resort just a place to sleep. We stayed in room... More

Me and my husband stayed at this inn for two nights while traveling around the area to see the fall. It is a charming little in, with a character that you feel from the moment you enter. The Inn is managed by quite a veteran, nice people. Breakfast is very poor, I suggest you go somewhere else to eat.

We stayed at the Curtis House this past weekend and had a lovely time. The room was cozy with lovely antique furniture and a very comfortable bed! Good coffee in the morning and an all over good feeling for the whole experience. Like staying in a home vs. staying in a generic hotel. And, for that personal touch, one of... More
