The moment we laid our eyes on the pictures of this remarkable property we knew that we found the place we would stay in during our visit to the Hartford area. We made a reservation many months in advance knowing that our stay would be nothing less than wonderful, but nothing prepared us to how amazing and beautiful the Silas... More

Recently, my wife and I spent some time at this amazing B&B in the quaint colonial area located just outside of Hartford. To say we were pleasantly surprised would be an understatement. This beautiful old Victorian home has been completely and intricately restored. We were both in awe of what we encountered, from the detailing in the paint on the... More

I originally just wanted a place for a quick stop near Hartford on our way home from Boston. After searching hotels decided I didn't want to be in the city & deal with morning traffic. So when I found the Silas Robbins House on a google search I booked immediately. Even though I could see the online photos I was... More

As many reviews have already stated, this is a fabulous place to stay. If there is a better guest house in USA let alone Connecticut I would love to see it. Everything about this house is magnificent. John and Shireen are perfect hosts and have transformed a fire damaged wreck into a thing of beauty. The appearance of the house... More

This is possibly the best bed and breakfast place I have been to. It is close to Hartford attractions and restaurants. The rooms are fabulous, the common areas beautiful and the grounds just great to walk around. The breakfast might be the best I ever had. I recommend this inn to anyone wishing to stay in this area or just... More

This is one of the best B&Bs we've ever found - and we've been staying in them for years! It is beautiful, welcoming and perfectly restored. The owners are friendly and gracious people; breakfast is delightful. We appreciated the comfortable room with storage space for our personal belongings. It seems that so many Inns and B&Bs are cluttered with knick... More

If nothing else is perfect about staying at the Silas W. Robbins House, the sure joy of seeing and experiencing the house and gardens is worth a stay. We arrived after having just left another amazing B & B and thought, surely, we are due for a let-down. Wrong! This property has been perfectly restored and lovingly maintained. Friendly, comfortable,... More

My wife and I had a wedding reception to attend at Wickham Park, Manchester, CT and prefer to stay in B&B's rather than hotels when we travel. We discovered the Silas Robbins House on line that was near our event and booked for a Saturday night expecting to find a nice cozy New England B&B. Wow....were we wrong....this place was... More

We hosted an event at the Silas Robbins House in late May. We knew the property would be beautiful, but every detail was beyond our expectations. Our guests had a wonderful time and had only the highest compliments for the property. John and Shireen are wonderful hosts. We also stayed for two evenings(Cupid Rm) - so quaint with no detail... We recently spent two nights at the Silas Robbins House and had a thoroughly enjoyable stay. You couldn't ask for nicer hosts. Shereen and John were welcoming, helpful and very friendly. And they have done a phenomenal job of restoring the property. It is, by far, the most beautifully restored period home I've ever seen, not to mention the nicest... More
