We stayed at this quaint little jewel for the 4th of July weekend. We arrived Thursday afternoon and the temp was 92 degrees, May (wonderful person) warned me it was going to be really hot in the cabin, I knew ahead of time there is no air conditioning. We opened every window and the front and back doors and it... More

"Motor courts originated as a series of separate or attached roadside cabins, independently operated; but when professional management took over, their size increased, and the chain concept became popular." http://www.britannica.com/EBchecked/topic/393892/motel My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay at Camp View Motor Court's cottage #7. The Camp View is an old-fashioned family run business where your word is... More

Was attending a wedding in the area and happened upon this find on the web! Booked one cabin for myself for one night. Very reasonable rate and accommodating on check in. Clean and quaint cabin, also very quiet area.

Best kept secret. A great place to kick back and relax. Don't expect room service or even air condition all of which you do not need, bring your own cheese and crackers along with a bottle of wine and sit outside and enjoy! Cabins are different in size and decor. All the rooms are clean and welcoming thanks to the... More

First I should say that the room appeared clean and tidy. The problem started when we tried to check in. No one was there so we called the phone numbers given. No response ... for 2 hours! There could have been a note telling us which room was ours and that the room was unlocked. When finally contacted we were... More

This is definitely old school -- cabins in the old motor court style, clean and freshly painted. We stayed in Unit 21 -- double bed, comfy sitting area, kitchette and tiny (I mean TINY) bathroom. I don't think I'd want to stay more than a couple of days, but for that kind of thing this place can't be beat. East... More

My husband and I go up to visit our daughter a couple of times a year and stayed in hotels the first few times. They were ok, but they were hotels. We really wanted more space, freedom and comfort; and through trip advisor we found it. Camp View is feels great from the moment you drive in - look to... More

I absolutely loved these little cottages! They were so charming and home-y. Sweetly decorated, comfy beds, very clean and nicely equipted. My gal pals and I, felt right at home, we rented Cottage #7 and we were pleasantly surprised, nice 2 bedrooms, with a little sunporch, picinic table and BBQ grill. The location was also wonderful, overlooking Niantic Bay, nestled... More

My wife and two kids love vacations as much as I do. We have a small dog, so finding places that allow dogs is of top priority to us. Campview Motor Court is a collection of small cottages on a hill that overlooks Niantic harbor. The cabins have full kitchens, are clean, and simply furnished. The owner (May) is sweet and... More

Spent 2 nights at CampView. One part of the experience that was a bit problematic was the somewhat unavailable owner. Each time I went to the office to register she wasn't immediately available; though the room was ready and I had prepaid, so it wasn't too bad, but each time I tried she was not around. A small nuisance perhaps,... More
