The setting is gorgeous, bucolic and remote. The staff is friendly, responsive and polite. The exterior of the buildings are charming and well maintained. The grounds offer options for short walks: there is a nice quick hike and two gardens to explore. The suites are spacious including the bathroom. The tap room is charming and the wrap around porch gives... More

The Mayflower Grace is a gorgeous property. The staff could not have been more lovely. The spa was heavenly. There is a spectacular waiting room equipped with comfy chaises. It has huge windows overlooking the exquisite grounds and is a great place to read and relax on a rainy day. Definitely ask for Stan or Marcy --Stan gave me the... More

We stayed at the Mayflower at the end of March for my wife's birthday weekend. She wanted a Spa, and oh boy did we get a Spa, this is a great retreat in the woods where you can just forget the city, and relax. There's a great pool area, spa and gym. There's this garden room which has huge windows... More

Beautiful property but very disappointing food, which would prevent us from returning. We checked in on a Sunday at 3 PM and wanted a snack. They were still serving brunch and had no other options. Most small hotels offer cookies, cheese and crackers or something other than a full sit down brunch! We went to the spa for our 4:30... More

My husband and I spent a perfect weekend at The Mayflower. The staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. Attention to paid to every little detail (the parking attendant noted our empty water bottles and brought us new ones). The dining room churns out amazing and healthy dishes at just the right pace, so... More

We have been staying at the Mayflower for many years! You must visit this magical Inn at least once in your life. The Inn is truly spectacular in every way. It is furnished in a way to resemble an English countryside estate. The guest rooms are so lovely! The food is really good. But its the old world charm that... More

I stopped in for a quick dessert on my way back to New York and I couldn't be more amazed! The staff allowed me to view some of the property and there is so much to offer! there are some trails if you would like a small hike along some streams, an amazing tavern, beautiful spa, stunning library, a priceless... This has long been a destination for those who love the CT countryside leavened with luxury food, rooms, and a truly world class spa. I've been coming here for 10 years, and though the hotel has changed hands twice, they have retained its crown jewel, the wonderful spa and its services. Amongst the treatments I think are the best are... More

It USED to be a reasonably good restaurant; and it's one we frequented at least monthly (we're weekenders in Washington). But the amateur service, and poor quality of the food leaves it much below the level of an average roadside diner. Despite the managers assurances that they're "working on it", this was our last attempt (at least 5 times) to... More

Didn't stay at the Mayflower this trip but decided to take a drive over for lunch. Gorgeous property. Great views from Tap Room. Nice selections on the lunch menu with wines to compliment. Will definitely go back to spend a few nights.
