This is great for a winter getaway. Beautiful room with old books and fireplaces, wonderful food and superb spa amenities. The staff is so helpful and accommodating. The property is pristine and in a beautiful part of CT. Can't wait to go back!

Had brunch recently at The Mayflower Grace. I had a Cesar salad with chicken which was average at best. Others at our table had the burger which looked great and was accompanied by fries - about 6 of them! Service was not good at all. Had a cup of coffee which was never refilled and at the end of the... More

Dear EastCoastMomNY, Thank you for bringing to our attention the areas where we unfortunately fell short of our own high standards and your expectations. We're all very sorry that you departed with an impression so removed from the quality and service standards we strive daily to provide. I truly hope the next time you travel to see the area you'll... I've had a few experiences staying at Grace properties and many more experiences dining at them. I can't say I've ever had a bad experience. My expectations are always high and they are almost always exceeded. The Mayflower Grace is no exception. On my first visit this winter the attentive hotel staff, and gracious GM, met every need. They went... More

It pains me to write this, as my husband and I have frequented the Mayflower several times and almost exclusively stay at Relais and Chateaux properties as they are always top notch. We are the parents of two young children and we had planned to stay at the Mayflower for a couple of nights in the middle of the week... More

Just came back from a most fun weekend with six friends. It is absolutely gorgeous, the rooms were incredible and so luxurious. The service also was stellar. Unfortunately the food however needs major improvement, (think thats being worked on). It is a really really elegant place, different league then say Canyon Ranch but also very expensive. I would go back... More

My wife and I stayed at the Mayflower for my birthday. The hotel and service were fantastic. The spa was incredible. The setting was tranquil. I did want to note some serious issues which have nothing to do with décor, renovations etc. I sent this note to the hotel and have yet to receive a response. I gave them an... More

Staying at The Mayflower has been on my bucket list for some time now, but the truth is, I think I'm glad that circumstances prevented my pilgramage until after its been taken over by the Grace properties because these folks know how to run a hotel. From check in to check out, we wanted for nothing. Arriving in subzero weather,... More

Came here on a cold wintery weekend to get a little post holiday break and recuperation. The inn is very clean, quaint and comfortable. The staff is top notch, well trained and attentive. The food is good and not over priced. Nice wine list at Muse, the main restaurant. Plenty of quiet places to read a book and just think.... More

I liked the request for some history information on the inn. We stayed there many years ago (30 t ) and it was a wonderful time. we stayed in a smaller building i believe it was called the Colton House. sooooo romantic. the inn then was filled with antiques, oriental carpets, lots of heavy wood. absolutely beautiful. there was a... We stopped in for a lunch and it was superb. We ate in the bar area. Broiled salmon done just perfectly. Superb bread basket. New York prices. Excellent servers. Friendly staff. Great holiday decorations. Took a peek in the Main Dining Room, the chairs are an abomination and the room lacks character and warmth. The operators have to have very... More
