We had dinner at the Mayflower Grace in September. The food was ok and beautifully presented. The wait staff was attentive but not overly so. The decor in the dining room is GHASTLY. It is cold looking (all white and pale grey) , doesn't fit a charming country inn and the ceiling is dreadful! It has no relationship to the... More

The Mayflower Grace was exactly what we expected, which is a good thing. Beautiful property, spacious and luxurious room, very nice dinner and breakfast, and the service was uniformly warm and efficient. I just wish we had had more time to enjoy the surrounding area.

We spent our anniversary at the Mayflower this year. We were given a beautiful room with a fireplace, gorgeous balcony overlooking the Shakespeare garden, with the most comfortable mahogany canopy bed. We felt like royalty. This country cottage hotel was exactly what we were looking for. An easy escape from the hustle and bustle of Manhattan, and a tranquil, relaxing... More

My husband and I went back to the Mayflower Grace for our anniversary mid-week for the night. We had stayed there many times before and loved it, but this was the first time since it changed management. Many small things made it an overall average to poor experience, especially for the money, because this place is pricey! here is the... More

Its not just about the staff/guest ratio. Its really about experienced staff knowing how to keep fussy clientele happy. Also one offset to the expense is that you don't feel nickel and dimed (though no food is included). Staff was helpful but not hovering. While some reviewers consider the Maylfower Inn pretensious, we found both staff and the other guests quite... More

Had an opportunity to visit and tour the Mayflower Inn. The facilities, small and private, are outstanding. The cuisine is extraordinary. A terrific place for a quiet, getaway weekend. Was very impressed.

We planned an 18 year anniversary weekend at the Mayflower Inn, requesting "our" room (we had been there 10 years earlier). We called a second time to make dinner reservations for both evenings. We also made 4 spa reservations. We received three phone calls from the Inn to confirm our arrival and our spa reservations, the most recent being two... More

After visiting the Mayflower in Dec 2013 I wrote a very disappointing review. After completing a stay at the end of June I am happy to say that our visit at the Mayflower was nothing less than superb. Much had been done to upgrade the main building, front parlor, dinning room and bar and it was much appreciated. The grounds... More

Working as an international environmental economist places excessive demands on both my time and my energy levels and to invest in a restorative weekend is of utmost importance in order to keep me going. It is therefore that I spent a long weekend at the Mayflower Grace in Connecticut, which equaled a trip to Paradise! From the moment I was... More

The new owners have really improved the comfort and appearance of the dining room and tap room. The new menu is an improvement as well. It has a modern look now, done just right. The service is as good, or better, than it was in the past. I find it hard to believe the review of "CorvetteDriver." The standards are... More
