I wanted to treat my girlfriend to a quiet weekend getaway for her birthday, and our stay at the Sachem Farmhouse was absolutely perfect. The room was amazing, the views of the lake and fall foliage were superb, and innkeepers Jennifer and Jason were incredibly warm and inviting. The entire stay was fantastic, and I know my girlfriend enjoyed herself... More

My husband I wanted a quick getaway before the summer was over. This B&B did the trick. The price was a little high, but we lucked out in that it was a week day and we had the Inn all to ourselves. The breakfast was good. The views of the lake were pristine and the proximity to the wineries and... More

We stayed here for a weekend and had a fantastic time. Very nice, very helpful, couple and the breakfast was very good. My only complaint was that the coffee was good but not great and I look forward to great coffee. Nothing a Nespresso machine could not remedy! That said I give them five stars; they deserve it. We will... More

I recently stayed at The Sachem Farmhouse, while traveling alone to CT. My room was meticulously clean, the bed amazingly comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious! I found that the owner, Jennifer, was so helpful by suggesting a little cafe for lunch and a couple cute local shops to explore. The B&B is situated directly across from a lovely lake.... More

We were very disappointed when we arrived at the Inn. No one was there to greet us, the keys were left in a pocket on the front door, not very secure. When we went into our room, we were greeted with a strong smell of mold. After examining the window air conditioner, which was doing little to cool the room,... More

It is unfortunate this couple choose not to stay at our B&B and also chose not to let us assist in their concerns. In the six years my husband and I have owned the B&B we have never had a guest leave unhappy. As owners of a 4 room B&B we have only one additional staff person who works with... More

This is the perfect B&B for a fall getaway....the location is absolutely stellar. The House is small, only 4 rooms, and we took the Ruth & William Hopkins room which is the master bedroom, top floor, view of the lake. Room was huge...very comfy bed....nice & big bathroom....and the best part, direct view of the lake & beautiful property. The... More

What a charming and well-kept B&B! We made a last minute reservation for a relaxing get-away and knew when we walked in that we had made the right choice. Our room on the first floor was spacious and tastefully and recently decorated. The bathroom was large and lovely. The sheets were softer than you can imagine. Everything was very clean.... More

We could not have asked for a better B&B! This B&B has it all, charm, beautiful setting, nice hosts, elegant interior and close to nature and Hopkins Vineyard(which has good wines and wine tastings). We are very happy that we choose Sachem. We were looking for a romantic and relaxing getaway and that is what we got. The area is... More

My boyfriend and I drove up to the Sachem Farm for a Saturday-night stay in May. It was a quick drive from NYC, but it felt worlds away. The B&B is a gorgeous old farmhouse with a vineyard on one side and a lake on the other. The interior of the inn is gorgeous and simply, elegantly decorated. The other... More

My girlfriend and I drove up to Connecticut for the Litchfield Jazz Festival with another couple. None of us are big jazz fans; we just wanted a change from our standard-fare Hamptons weekends. I was also badly in need of relief from job stress and the never-ending stream of tourists that plague my Ground Zero home and office. Sachem Farmhouse... More
