The innkeepers are very friendly and the location is lovely. The rather expensive room I stayed in was comfortable but not attractive. Breakfast was a real disappointment, similar to what you'd get at Comfort Inn and with no homemade items. This was much less than I expected since the Inn has such glowing reviews.

We just discovered the Inn at Mt. Pleasant Farm as the perfect waypoint between Long Island and the Berkshires. Although we were originally just looking for place to crash between an evening concert at Tanglewood and the morning ferry from Bridgeport, we can't wait to return for a more leisurely stay. Our welcome was warm and the Inn - you... More

Our adult children and their spouses enjoyed our stay in this comfortable, well-maintained inn. The bedrooms all have private baths, splendid queen beds, wifi and TVs. All rooms are private and quiet. The beautiful views and relaxed hosts are added bonuses.

The innkeepers, Bob and Maggie went above the duty of mere innkeepers and gave us a stay that was way above normal. No fancy gourmet breakfast, true, but the friendliness and the surroundings more than made up for that continental style meal. There is history all around there starting with the 1760s farmhouse (inn), and continuing on to the birthplace... More

I'm a snob from California, and usually like upscale hotels, but I must say that not only is The Inn at Mount Pleasant immaculate, but also just a calming and wonderful experience. Bob and Maggie were so gracious and warm, opening their hearts and home to my family at a time when we really needed it. I'm a Torrington native... More

My partner and I stayed for one night at the inn and wished the stay was extended. The inn is truly spectacular and Maggie and Bob are gracious hosts. By the time we left, we felt as though we had spent time with friends. The inn has incredible, breathtaking views from every room, is immaculate, and is a little slice... More

We stayed for 2 nights in September & were a bit concerned that there was no one home when we arrived ... but there was a note on door telling us to go right in & make ourselves comfortable until they returned. From then on it was just like home. Nothing was spared to make our visit memorable, lovely room,... More

We stayed here while visiting family. Maggie immediately made us feel welcome. One of my favorite things about the property is the spectacular view. Guests are encouraged to help themselves in the kitchen, which is also a wonderful gathering place to meet other guests. Once we walked through the door, we didn't feel like we were strangers. It was like... More

We just got back from a wonderful weekend at Mount Pleasant and it's our favorite vacation spot so far. Bob and Maggie are kind and hospitable and know exactly what to recommend for people who don't know the area. The farm and the house are beautiful: Bob has a private hike available on the property that leads you through rough,... More

This was our first time in the Litchfield Hills area, but staying here was just like revisiting old friends - Bob and Maggie simply could not have been more friendly and welcoming. They really made us feel at home. And what a home! The Inn is the exact opposite of all those pokey little b&b's where the rooms are so... More
