What a beautiful property! Everything about Lord Thompson Manor is so great- the grounds are beautiful, the food is fantastic and the rooms are very comfortable. The outside patio has a few fire pits which were really nice and there's a fun "bonus"room downstairs with a big TV and pool table. Most importantly, the staff is amazing! They really go... More

We had a fantastic party last night. The service and food were the best I've experienced. The atmosphere was perfect with three fireplaces blazing. This is a must experience place right off route 395. The waiter also sang a few Christmas songs for us and he was amazing.

My husband and I were married here in August 2010. People that attended the wedding still say that it was the best wedding they have ever been to. From the people, to the food, to the ambiance. You name it... it was all amazing. The owners Andrew and Jackie are incredible. From the first moment you meet them, they make... More

We stayed 2 nights here in February 2013. It is the most gorgeous place we've haver stayed at and since we were updated to the wedding suite (due to painting of our cottage room), it was even better! Also, the location was great as we were visitng the Marianapolis Prep School which is super close. Ted (who works there) was... More

We were fortunate enough to attend a 2 day wedding here over this past weekend. It was an amazing experience! Between the beautiful manor, the grounds and the food, this was undoubtedly one of the best weddings I have ever attended. The manor (house) is gorgeous. The woodworking, mouldings and lights were exquisite. The custom built-ins, several bars, the large... More

Thank you very much for the awesome review! Many people we've talked to have found it helpful, and we're glad your experience was memorable. We've noted your comment about the humidity and want to clarify for readers that we do have air conditioning. It’s also worth noting that most Brides & Grooms want us to keep all of our doors... We were here for a friend's wedding weekend. The manor is beautiful and the food was really fantastic. The additional property where the spa is "The cottage" is beautiful as well. The staff were super helpful and attentive. The rooms were beautiful. It was a great location between boston and nyc.

When I was looking for a place to hold my wedding, I checked out a few locations spanning the entire state (my family's from CT). We had been fairly impressed with the place we saw prior to our stop at Lord Thompson Manor (LTM), and agreed that unless LTM "blew us away" we'd go with the former. We were blown... More

A charming B&B in a real New England town. The owners are great. In fairness, I stayed with a friend who knew the owners, so maybe we received "some" preferential treatment, but from the looks and feel, it's top-notch all the way. The rooms are very authentic, nicely redone. I was there in the middle of a snowstorm in February... More
