We stayed here last year and this year for 5 nights each time. Our timing was bad this year as the hotel was essentially full and we paid rack rate which is too much for this property. It was full due to the annual conference for CT RE tax assessors. That said, the tax assessors had a hospitality suite set... More

Let me start out with the positives: during my four night stay here for a conference, every staff person I encountered was completely professional and completely friendly. The food service was good, the food was good. The rate was reasonable. These are the reasons I gave it 3 stars instead of 2. The workout room, tho small, is adequate. Housekeeping... More

I'm writing this at 5:17am in the hotel lobby (my college kid is sleeping in our room before finals). This is probably my 7th? time staying here and as always, service has been wonderful. Highlights? First off, I almost always see Ken, the night auditor, when I get up to work in the hotel lobby. This morning, Ken proactively asked... More

Location, location, location... good thing they have it on campus because that is their only saving grace! My wife and I wanted to explore our old Alma Mater and wanted to park the car and forget about it. Other positives about our experience were the staff who all seem to go out of their way to be nice and helpful.... More

I have stayed at the Nathan Hale once or twice a year for the past few years, and it's continuing to go downhill. Apparently it is due to eventually become a UConn dorm entirely, and only then can another hotel become established in Storrs. That needs to happen sooner rather than later. The basics are fine: good sized rooms, good... More

This building is 2 floors of "hotel" and 2 floors of student housing. The building itself is worse than motel 8. State of disrepair and low quality furnitire, etc. I regularly pay less for a room in Manhattan. Room with taxes 250 and breakfast for 3 was 50 dollars. Service is very poor. The staff should take a basic lesson... More

I'm at UCONN for two days' of meetings, and the location of this hotel is ideal, as I'm able to walk easily to offices on campus, and I don't face any parking challenges. The staff are friendly, helpful and accommodating of special requests. The rooms are great. The area is quiet and conducive to a sound night's sleep. The wifi... More

We expected much more. It was just ok. Very overpriced for what it was, but since it's the only hotel close to UConn I guess they can get away with that. Elevator broke during our stay and the nearest stairway led us outside to snow piles and we had to trek our way back to the lobby. Very glad we... More

Thank you for sharing your time at the Inn with us. I am sorry for the breakdown of the elevators during your stay as it was something totally out of our control but I believe was rectified very quickly. I will review the staffing levels in our dining room with my team as you are correct this is something that... More

This hotel, named after a revolutionary war hero, whose home is located nearby, has excellent food. UConn, home of Huskies basketball, surrounds this hotel. If you have a prospective UConn student in your family, this is the best place for you to stay.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your stay at the Nathan Hale Inn. So pleased that you enjoyed the overall experience of staying on campus. We have a great restaurant and it is the place to be on game days. Hope to see you again when you are up in Stoors again. More
