The Inn at Stonington is a haven of hospitality indeed. With its idyllic location overlooking the water, its proximity to the newly opened "Swooner" restaurant and foremost, its incredibly welcoming team of "hospitalitarians," this property is a definite must stay. Susan, Ann, Leslie, Ann and Lindsay at the front desk foster a feeling of well-being from the moment one arrives... More

Great people, great location, great view, clean, nice, good taste. What else would anyone need for a relaxing break. The inn was so nice that even the bad weather couldn't spoil our long weekend. Will definitely plan to go back.

Superb B & B. Owners could not be nicer. We came here for our 10th anniversary because we wanted something "relaxed" and "comfy." They more than met our expectations. The place is hospital clean and exceptionally well maintained. The wine and cheese at 6p was a a nice treat and the continental breakfast had FRESH baked goods and fruit. Nothing... More

We did a brief, one night getaway at this inn. The main building, although fairly new, was built to blend in with the charming old homes in the village. We stayed in the Annex, an attractive brick building steps away. Our room was spacious with two comfortable chairs and a writing desk, and all the usual amenities one expects at... More

Thanks so much for the very nice review! I'm afraid we must have neglected to tell you that all guests of the Inn at Stonington are allowed to use the beach at no cost. We owe you! More

We do enjoy coming back here. Everyone is friendly, our room was quiet and lovely, and the cheese/wine and breakfast most welcome. We really should stay longer. This extra sentence to reach the minimum :-)

Stayed past 2 nights. The bed was comfortable, although the room was a bit small. Nicely decorated, custom window treatments. Queen bed, night stands, love seat with one small lamp table. No desk or area to sit and write or eat. Huge clean bath, generic tile and fixtures, jacuzzi. Other areas did not do as well with cleanliness. There were... More

Thank you for your review. We're sorry you found issues with the Inn's cleanliness. That is a rare complaint. I assure you that our carpets and upholstery are spot and machine cleaned regularly but there are times when a stain(s) has us beat and there's nothing to do but replace the item. Such is the case with the upstairs hallway... More

We stayed here Sat and Sun night in a king bed room on the second floor with a view of the harbor. The room had a small balcony which afforded great views of the sunset. The room was spacious, the bed was very comfortable, and the bathroom had a jacuzzi tub and shower. (I especially liked the shower head!) The room... More

We just spent one night in Stonington last week and we stayed in a very beautiful inn. We had the king room on the second floor with a view of the harbor. The room is very large and very well decorated, like the rest of the inn. The bathroom was very large with a large jacuzzi and a large shower.... More

Great location. Welcoming staff. Quiet rooms. Truly comfortable bed and pillows. Modern and clean bathroom. Strong shower. Fresh continental breakfast. View of the water & harbor. Endless coffee. Easy parking. Free wi-fi. Comfortable sitting areas. You walk about the back door and there is Swooner restaurant on the water. You hang a left out the front door and there is... More

I loved my time at this charming inn right on the waterfront. The views were amazing as was the staff. They take great pride in making sure every guest has an enjoyable experience. My room was on the 2nd floor and was perfect in every way. The housekeeper is wonderful and keeps everything spotless. I felt at home here and... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Inn at Stonington is a Stonington Connecticut Bed & Breakfast located directly on the waterfront in the heart of Stonington Borough. Since opening, the Inn has been featured as 'Travel and Leisures' Inn of the Month and has also appeared in 'Coastal Living,''New York Times,''Boston Globe,''New York Magazine,''Boston Magazine,' and 'Delta Sky.' Untouched by commercialism, this charming village is one of the few surviving New England seaside towns that has retained much of its 17th and 18th century flavor. Classic examples of Colonial, Greek Revival and Federal architecture can be enjoyed on a stroll down any of its quiet, tree-lined streets. During your stay with us, be sure to take in "The Borough's" variety of restaurants, antique and gift shops, and galleries - all within walking distance from our beautiful Stonington Connecticut Inn. ... more   less
