This hotel is absolutely amazing. The rooms are gorgeous, spacious and have a large bathroom. Impeccably clean. The staff was very welcoming and friendly. Our room included breakfast at Artisan which is one of the best restaurants in the area. We will be back to the Delamar for our anniversary.

We used this hotel for our wedding weekend and loved everything about it. Everything was absolutely wonderful for our guests and us. From the excellent attention we received, to the delicious restaurant, impeccable room conditions, and beautiful decor, The Delamar Southport exceeded all of our expectations. We can't wait to celebrate our anniversaries with weekend getaways to The Delamar Southport!!

Spacious and well appointed room, with a large bathroom. Staff was welcoming but didn't go out of their way to serve us. Of course we didn't really need anything. Our room overlooked the restaurant courtyard and was a little loud in the evening, but quieted down by 10:30 PM. Our rate included breakfast which was served in the Artisan restaurant... More

What a find. The Delamar is a great hotel with a very welcoming staff. We were treated so well by everyone. The rooms are fantastic, spacious, comfortable, and clean. When you are travelling on business and living out of a suitcase, it's nice to be able to spread out a little in your room. The Delamar has large rooms with... More

My family of 4 stayed at Delamar for one night. The location near the freeway worked great and the accommodations did not feel like a roadside hotel. Our deluxe double was spacious & comfortable. I would return to the Delamar if I was in that area.

Pros: Rooms are beautifully maintained and very generous in size. Excellent staff at the front desk, housekeeping. Great spot outside to have breakfast, easy to walk into Southport to local business and down to the Harbor. Cons: Called Artisan Restaurant re: room service hours, takeout available? They didn't seem to know the answers. Also only room service in the evening,... More

Very pleasant hotel. Recommend that anyone who needs to be in the area consider it. The staff was friendly and helpful and the food was good. They gave us a big room either because we were three or referred by a friend of the owner, but the latter was not apparent and the lack of recognition in this regard was... More

We stumbled upon this hotel based on the recommendation of a colleague in nearby Westport. After looking at the photographs online, we went ahead and made reservations -- and are certainly glad we did. The hotel is quite beautiful, has very comfortable and luxurious furnishings and is located in an ideal location. We found the staff to be very helpful.... More

It was our anniversary 39th to be exact. We had bid on this hotel at a fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma society and obtained it. We had no idea what the hotel was like, looked like, etc. and we decided to use it for our anniversary. We are not sorry we did. We were so pleasantly surprised and happy... More

It's only two blocks from the Post Road in Southport CT. So it's convenient but if you don't know it's there you aren't going to "happen upon it". That's really too bad because it is really worth finding! The rooms are very spacious and beautifully appointed. They have an old world charm but appear to be brand spanking new! Bed,... More
