We had a long stay at the Hyatt Shelton while in between homes for a month. The staff at this hotel are amazing -- it's immaculately kept and comfortable- and did we mention the staff are amazing? We had our 13 month old in a hotel for a month and she got used to bopping around reception to say hello... More

My husband and I spent 5 night at this hotel and could not have been more pleased. It is reasonably priced for the upscale amenities. The complimentary breakfast was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was well above average. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler.

We stay here frequently when we go to visit with my son when he is at college. This is a nice location. There are plenty of restaurants and shopping locations around. Can't go wrong with a Hyatt House. Always clean, always a smotth check-in, always friendly people. We stayed this past weekend, and we see great value for the rate... More

We stayed here for 4 nights early September. We had originally booked a standard king room, but were upgraded to a suite. We had room 301. The suite had cooking facilities - 2 ring hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine, everything you need to cook a meal if required. The suite was spotlessly clean as was the rest... More

Rather than driving 400 miles from Cape Cod to our home, we opted to stop half way at the Hyatt House in Shelton. The rooms were less costly than expected, the service was good, the free morning breakfast was Ok, and the hotel is located in an area where there are many restaurants. The Hyatt has a pool and a... First time at a Hyatt House on the east coast; looks recently built, rooms very clean and well laid out. Breakfast was decent (similar to other HH's...scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, toast/bagels/muffins/donuts). Had a short overnight stay, was perfect for that need.

My stay was business related and arranged by an associates preference. This is my first time in a Hyatt "House" which seems to be a answer to the boutique hotel trend (i.e. Aloft) but not a real boutique. No chain will ever get that. This being said, the built in environment around the hotel is chain driven...you have an Texas... More

I spent a few weeks here recently - extended stayers take note as the bad things may bother after a couple weeks. The Good: The king suite is nice and large, doors between bedroom and living area. Full size fridge, micro, two burners, no oven. Bathroom is nice however the energy saving light bulbs took many minutes to come to... More
