We stayed here for 4 nights early September. We had originally booked a standard king room, but were upgraded to a suite. We had room 301. The suite had cooking facilities - 2 ring hob, microwave, fridge freezer, dishwasher and coffee machine, everything you need to cook a meal if required. The suite was spotlessly clean as was the rest... More

Rather than driving 400 miles from Cape Cod to our home, we opted to stop half way at the Hyatt House in Shelton. The rooms were less costly than expected, the service was good, the free morning breakfast was Ok, and the hotel is located in an area where there are many restaurants. The Hyatt has a pool and a... First time at a Hyatt House on the east coast; looks recently built, rooms very clean and well laid out. Breakfast was decent (similar to other HH's...scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit, toast/bagels/muffins/donuts). Had a short overnight stay, was perfect for that need.

I liked the bed,the shower and airco function very nice,no noise at all. The breakfast was very nice, with may choices of food;pastries, bagels, fruits, do your on omelette, juices etc... My stay was business related and arranged by an associates preference. This is my first time in a Hyatt "House" which seems to be a answer to the boutique hotel trend (i.e. Aloft) but not a real boutique. No chain will ever get that. This being said, the built in environment around the hotel is chain driven...you have an Texas... More

I spent a few weeks here recently - extended stayers take note as the bad things may bother after a couple weeks. The Good: The king suite is nice and large, doors between bedroom and living area. Full size fridge, micro, two burners, no oven. Bathroom is nice however the energy saving light bulbs took many minutes to come to... More

We chose Hyatt House because it was the hotel chosen for out-of-town wedding guests who needed to stay overnight. Typically, I would prefer a smaller, non-chain hotel. From the moment we walked in and received a prompt and enthusiastic greeting from the front desk staff and viewed the clean, tasteful, contemporary decor, we knew we were going to enjoy our... More

I did not stay at a Hyatt House previously, but I heard many good reviews from multiple sources that I decided to try it out myself. The management was very friendly and helpful, especially when we had people blasting music above us. It was taken care of quickly once we called the front desk. The rooms are spacious, CLEAN, and... A quick drive to many amenities, 20min to the beach, Chili's in parking lot, bar in hotel...and to top it off, a great breakfast served in the morning. The are a few hotels on the same street, all are within two miles of each other(in case this location is booked) I will stay here again.
