I'm a medical student spending time interviewing and seeing the Shelton, CT area for a week. I was studying in the lobby and was told to leave because a few people were eating lunch? Tried to ask a question and was just told to leave. Day 2 of a week stay= horrible start

Stayed 2 nights in the suite...included king bed, sofa sleeper in separate area, & kitchenette. Bed was very comfortable, only issue was with a noisy neighbor but management took care of that. There's a pool table located in the lobby area to play. 2 restaurants on adjacent property for lunch & dinner. Breakfast buffet offered a lot of options: omelet... More

This is the second time we've stayed. (Each stay was for a few days.) Each experience great. Staff helpful and friendly really going out of their way making us feel "at home". The set up of the rooms - suite with kitchenette - well though out. Convenient location off Route 8 and the Merritt. We will be back.

We really like the spacious clean room. The room had a dorm refrigerator, and MP3 player,a 40 inch+ flat screen with ample channels. We were in a very nice king bed..comfy.. As we were attending a family function nearby we did not see or use the pool. The bar was very small and limited(bring your own libation) there is a pool table in... More

My wife and I used to stay at the Hampton Inn down the block for our "mini getaways" until we decided to give the Hyatt House a try. We're never going back to the Hampton Inn again. Hyatt House has an impeccable staff, the rooms are huge. We always get a room with full fridge and kitchen. We became Hyatt... More

I recently stayed overnight at the Hyatt House, Shelton. Excellent stay. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the room was clean and comfortable. Free breakfast was an unexpected treat- with an excellent assortment of food (and even an omelet "chef", who cooked omelets to order!). Parking was a breeze, with a large wrap around parking lot, and spots always... More

I have stayed in this hotel for the past several years. In total I have stayed about 60+/- nights within three years 2010-2013. I have had nothing but the best service. The rooms are always clean and the bathrooms are spotless. The beds are so comfortable when I lay down I fall asleep very quickly. I love how the television... More

Staff is really friendly and always a smile on the face. I love their breakfast choices which is included in the price. There's fresh fruits and made to order omlettes. At first, I was concerned since this is a pet friendly hotel (had a horrible experience before with another pet friend hotel, it was like staying at what it would... More

The on-line booking process was smooth. No issues at all. Upon arrival at the hotel I was greeted by a very friendly worker. He was very fast and informed me of everything I wanted to know without having to ask. The lobby is very impressive and immaculately clean. It was a bit on the warm side though as were all... More

Stayed here over this past weekend. Booking was little tricky. Their room description was too vague. "Studio sofabed"? Does it mean it is a studio w just sofabed??? Anyway so I called to make reservation instead of using website to book two rooms. Got the confirmation email and a cancellation email next day. I called and apparently hotel don't allow... More
