Not knowing what to buy for my 90 year old mother for Christmas this year, my husband decided that we would together coordinate a overnight stay (he stayed home with our son) for my mother and I to spend some quality time together at Foxwood casino.. ..have dinner, do a little gambling, shopping, etc. We chose Captain Grants B&B as... We visited the B&B on 10/24 for one night. Ted and Carole were gracious hosts. Afternoon snacks were left on the table, which were delicious. The morning breakfast consisted of ham, eggs, and pancakes. The location is great as well. It is six miles from Foxwoods and near the CT wineries. We also were able to take a morning jog.... More

On October 23,2015, my self, husband and 2 other couples stayed overnight at Captain Grant's. We were interested in the ghostly tales of the place. We were met by owner,Ted. He helped carry our bags. He then gave us a tour of the lovely downstairs. It is cozy and appointed with beautiful antiques. He pointed out the wine, beer, soda,... More

I spent two nights here. Ted and Carol are very sweet and thoughtful. They add special touches that other B&Bs that I've stayed at simply do not. They left a cake, cookies and a variety of drinks for their guests to partake of as they wish. Carol went out of her way to make sure that I had something to... More

My husband and I plus another couple spent one night at this bed and breakfast. Our room was more money than in the main house but was near the street. Even with the sound machine provided, it was noisy. We found the rooms in general to be just okay and the breakfast not up to par. To summarize, not the... More

This wasn't a bad Bed and Breakfast, but judging from others I've stayed in, it wasn't great either. The host, Ted was very nice, his wife didn't come out of the kitchen to great us so we never met her. We had to leave the next morning before breakfast so he made us a "to-go" bag which was nice. It's... More

I am sorry that you were so disappointed. My husband and I try very hard to be courteous. Only one of us at a time checks in guests. Please don't take it that I ignored you. When you were checked in I was in the office working. You may have mistook our maid for me. My husband got up an... More

After a long day spent exploring Block Island we arrived late to the inn. It was great to find a note with all the details for our stay. Even better, the desserts set out along with an assortment of drinks to enjoy. Our room, the Holly, was lovely and the bed perfect to sink into. I was very thankful for... More

Carol and Ted are the consummate innkeepers. They are welcoming, friendly, yet professional. Our room was quaint, but comfortable with every convenience. The Inn itself is a piece of history. The breakfasts were enormous and delicious. Well done!
