Wonderful old home converted into a charming BnB. The owners, Carol and Ted, couldn't be nicer. Did so enjoy the great breakfast out on the covered deck but more importantly enjoyed the conversation. Although we were headed for the aquarium and a long drive home, we didn't want to leave. (Wish we'd stayed and skipped the aquarium.) Beautiful grounds and... More

My husband and I just spent the weekend at Captain Grant's 1754 Bed and Breakfast. We has a fantastic time. Carol and Ted are the owners of this charming BnB. The greeted us, showed us around and help us plan our days while we were visiting. The BnB's location was perfect for trips to Mystic, RI and Mohegan or Foxwoods.... More

We were looking for a place to relax, have those long conversations there is never enough time for in every day, working couple, always electronically connected type of lives. This is the PERFECT place! Sit on the covered deck, walk into the fields to sitting areas, be by yourself or enjoy the wonderful company of Ted, Carol and guests! For... More

Stayed here 4th July weekend for a Mystic CT experience. Both the house and the proprietors have character; the place is as much Ted and Carol as is it a house built in 1754, Very helpful in suggesting places to eat (made dinner reservations for us at a nice local place) and in getting discount tickets for Mystic attractions. Breakfast... More

I was intrigued by stories and history of this mysterious inn but I was delighted by the charming ambiance of this place and the hospitality of hosts Ted and Carol. My husband loved it as well and we would love to be back in a heart beat for another stay! Breakfast was so good and our little " promenade "... More

My sisters and I went to Captain Grant's for my birthday getaway. It felt like home away from home, was comfy and the grounds are so pretty. I wish it was warmer so I could have had coffee on the porch in the morning. The rooms are close together, so you have to be pretty quiet, but we had it... More

It was my family and my pleasure to stay at this 250 year old plus historical Bed & Breakfast. I have to confess, I have done a lot of traveling, but have always stayed in hotels, so this was a first for me on many levels. One reason I have always avoided B&B's is the few I have toured seemed... More

My Mom, sister, and I went to Captain Grant's for a long weekend. The B&B had a very antique feel and was both charming and beautiful. Ted and Carol were WONDERFUL hosts and made us feel right at home. They had great restaurant suggestions and served lovely family-style breakfasts in the AM. Carol's homemade jams were delicious accents to our... More
