Just returned from a two night stay at the Deacon Pratt House. First, for the positives. Location was very good, walking distance to town. Room was clean although window air conditioner did not cool well. Restaurant and ice cream parlor next door was fantastic. We had dinner there the first night, and on checkout two days later we ordered take... More

We spent a night at the inn -- our room was in the James Gallery Soda Fountain Building. It is just steps from the main inn and it is a quiet location -- a benefit is that the building ahs central air which eliminates the window AC and resultant directed and at times uncomfortable air flow. The entry does have... More

My daughter and I enjoyed a very comfy night in the period B&B. The room was immaculate, the shower rejuvenating. Loved access to tea in the evening. Only wish we'd been there on the weekend to enjoy a full breakfast. Breads, muffins and fruits were excellent!

I was lucky enough to spend a day and night at the Deacon Timothy Pratt bed and breakfast. My husband had work to do in the area. We got there just in time for breakfast. He left, I stayed. The apple crumpets ...(definitely have...diet or not!!) yogurt with fruit and granola.. nice easy. Rich is the proprieter--great sense of humor,... More

What a lovely, quaint and historical B&B. I felt like I stepped back in time, walking into the B&B. Everything in the house has been preserved or restored back to it's originial condition. It was great to look at everything in the house and learn the history behind the historical landmark. I was only there for one night but wish... More

This is a nice old house with a heavily carb breakfast. I am afraid we have higher standards for BnB breakfasts, but it was a sort of continental- fruit, several types of sweet breads, muffins, etc. Nice, but not knock your socks off. (We were there during the week so cannot speak for the weekend offerings.) Our unfortunate choice was... More

Now we decided there is something to be said for Old World Charm, quirkiness and such, but also agreed a bit of up-keep wouldn't hurt. We staved in the Chimney Room which was nice albeit a bit loud for me, as it is a front room on main street. When we first got there we were greeted outside by the... More

We had a fabulous stay at the Pratt House in beautiful Old Saybrook. When I booked it I didn't realize it was over mother's day weekend but I think we might make this an annual trip! The B&B is a historic house that has just enough upgrades and amenities to make for a relaxing, comfortable stay. We were in the... More

We stayed at "The Suite" with our 12 year old daughter. The room was immaculate, our daughter was in heaven because her room and our room was separated by pink french doors with lace curtains. Breakfast was great! Beautiful, warm, homy environment. We played chess in the living had some coffee, tea, fresh cookies. The jacuzzi tub was really nice.... More

We received a gift of a two night stay at this B&B. we enjoyed our stay very much, our room was very large with a nice bathroom with a spa tub. There was also a fireplace in the room . It was a very comfortable room. The breakfast on Sunday-morning was very good, we shared our meal with some very... More
