We stayed at "The Suite" with our 12 year old daughter. The room was immaculate, our daughter was in heaven because her room and our room was separated by pink french doors with lace curtains. Breakfast was great! Beautiful, warm, homy environment. We played chess in the living had some coffee, tea, fresh cookies. The jacuzzi tub was really nice.... More

We received a gift of a two night stay at this B&B. we enjoyed our stay very much, our room was very large with a nice bathroom with a spa tub. There was also a fireplace in the room . It was a very comfortable room. The breakfast on Sunday-morning was very good, we shared our meal with some very... More

If you love a gorgeous, original, historic home with friendly staff and quiet luxury, this one's for you. It has everything you need for a nice stay in a lovely old town. The rooms are pretty and you have access to a living room, dining room, kitchen and powder room besides your own bedroom. Many of the rooms have working... More

For our first visit to a CT seaside city, we picked a good one! Very quiet and uncrowded. The house exudes history and charm. While the weather left a good bit to be desired, we enjoyed touring the coast and stopping at the small towns and villages. Our room was above the ice cream store and it was a bit... More

We spent one night here and loved the room, appointments and working fireplace--The Sunset Room. Clean with a great jacuzzi. Would stay again for sure. Only problem was breakfast--nothing hot, fruit, pastries and yogurt. They were good, but it was December. It was snowy. Hot breakfast would have been nice. Couldn't use wifi

Both my husband and I are lod home buffs, and this definitely fit the bill. Built in 1746, with the original wide plank floors, it was beautiful. Now I want to add that the staircase was VERY steep, and narrow, so is not for those with arthritic knees, and I had some difficulty managing the steps, but that goes hand... More

As anyone knows who uses Trip Advisor as a reliable source of travel information, there are often widely varying views of any given property. Such was the case with this B&B. I booked it because of its ideal location close to the Katharine Hepburn Cultural Arts Center in Old Saybrook and because a promotion through Groupon made it an even... More

The Deacon Timothy Pratt B&B is a small gem slightly set off from Old Saybrook's Main St. A classic New England church is located diagonally opposite, offering a picture postcard view of pumpkins for sale and warm orange foliage contrasting with the white steeple. The Katherine Hepburn Theatre is only a few minutes away by foot. This is a truly... More

My wife and I stayed here for our wedding anniversary. After reading so many encouraging reviews, my expectations were, understandably, set relatively high! Our experience met those expectations: the staff were friendly, the property was refreshingly clean, and our room served its purpose of providing a comfortable -- and nostalgic -- experience. Deacon Timothy Pratt is a remarkable little gem... More

My husband and I recently stayed at the Deacon Timothy Inn - we really loved our room and found Patty to be very knowledgeable about the inn and the area. We stayed in "The Suite", which is on the 2nd floor of the main building. There are 3 rooms in the Suite - a huge bathroom with a Jacuzzi Tub... More
