My girlfriend and I had a great weekend stay here and used this as a base for exploring the area on foot. The B&B is centrally located between the train station and the sea so wether you choose to turn left onto Main Street and visit the cafes and pubs or right towards the water, you can just walk the... My sister and I chose this B&B because it looked so delightful and we weren't disappointed. In fact, we were absolutely delighted with our well-appointed room called The Suite in this historic home built in 1746. Beth, innkeeper and pastry chef, and Lynn took such good care of us and our room was always in white glove condition. The house... More

If you are looking for a historic property to sleep in and don't mind uneven floors or steep stairs, then this is the place for you. The staff is very friendly and the room was very clean. I was not too impressed, however, with the room we stayed in--the "Chimney Room". The chimney literally is in the room, making it... More

We stayed here for three nights (group of about 15) on a cycling trip. It is old and historic, so as expected not everything was modernized. One building does not have central air, and when we had over 90 degree days, the rooms could have been a little cooler. But it is quaint, charming, and the staff were terrific. They... More

The people were great at this bed and breakfast; very friendly. The room we stayed in (The Suite - 2nd floor) was just okay compared to other places we've stayed. The air conditioner is too small for the room so the room was warm during our stay (July 2015); we did request a fan which they had. Also, the bathroom... More

I've been coming here for five years now, and I've never been disappointed. This time, I brought friends with me, and they were impressed. My partner and I stayed in The Suite and our friends stayed near us, in the Gambrel Room. Everything was perfect - the very old but perfect rooms, the fire in our room, (not that we... More

We arrived early and were greeted warmly and offered coffee/tea and cookies. When we finished we were guided to the room. We were in the back of the restaurant building which provided us with a separate entrance and parking just outside the door. The main building was decorated with a classic New England blue and white themed common room ,... More

We needed a quiet, romantic getaway and found it at this Inn! We stayed in the English Cottage room which includes a 2 person jacuzzi tub and gas fireplace. What you might like to know is that a FANTASTIC restaurant is located directly below this room. The owner Cathy will literally cater your romantic weekend for an extremely reasonable price.... More

The manager was absolutely lovely, very helpful, accommodating and sincere and our room was quite charming and adorable. The town is wonderful, with a historic main street atmosphere, many great restaurants, and a short ride to the ocean. Magnificent setting. However, in spite of the "healthy" room rate during the holiday season, the center gathering rooms were unheated, no fire... More

The Deacon Timothy Pratt B&B is a historical 1746 Center Chimney Colonial home. The main common areas do have fireplaces (as well as forced air heat) but a fire is lit every morning during breakfast for the enjoyment of our guests. The parlor fireplace will be lit upon request, in that every guest room as its own fireplace in the... More

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at this wonderful bed and breakfast. The rooms are charming as is the whole place. Old Saybrook is a very interesting old town. The weekend breakfasts are well prepared with a delicious variety of foods and the guest are all seated around the large beautifully layed out breakfast table. Patti, Lynn and Betsy... More
