By far in Old Saybrook, this is the worst hotel, i mean MOTEL, ever. It doesn't even have a proper desk employee, there was a very young little boy walking in and out, I believe, going to ask his mother questions. Isn't this called child labour, anyways, the rooms are horrible. I woke up with red bumps on my back... more

UGH!!! EXECUTIVE INN and SUITES my foot!! We travel very often and this is about the worst place ever. We reserved the Handicapped room for my elderly mother and friend. This was the only place in town that had an opening for handicapped, and now I know why There were two very tiny windows high in the wall (one on... more

I had to travel from a Marriott to this? After driving from Boston for two and half hours, I arrived to find the BATES MOTEL at 11PM at night. The lobby (if that is what you want to call it) smelled like if the staff (of 1) was cooking Indian food for the past 100 years. I had to go... more

This motel was lousy. Several families in our group were very disappointed in its lack of amenities. Its website promises a weekend continental breakfast, fitness room and outdoor swimming pool. The pool is closed with a tarp over it due to an alleged leak. There is no fitness room and there was no continental breakfast this past weekend, August 9-10,... more

We booked a block of 10 rooms for guests attending my daughters wedding this past weekend. The "hotel" really just a motel, was a real dive. I am so sorry we didn't check it out in person before subjecting our friends and family to such a horrific experience. This place should NOT be allowed to stay in business!!!. They misrepresent... more

We stayed at this hotel for a wedding this past weekend and were sorely disappointed. This place makes a Motel 8 look like a 4 star hotel!! Not only was it filthy and sketchy, but when we pulled back the sheets and turned over the mattress, we had bed bugs!!! The little black creatures were crawling around the head of... more

This place has bed bugs, among other issues. STAY AWAY I attended a wedding in nearby Old Lyme and was given this hotel as an option from the wedding party. Where to start! First I arrived paid for my room and given a key. Upon opening the specific room I discovered another couple in the room. They were just as... more

I don't know where to start so I will dive right in. 1- The planted plastic flowers in the dirt. Plastic flowers. Looks tacky and trashy and awful. 2- The staff is borderline combative, they had shirts with stains on them, they seemed bothered that we checked in. 3- The room was handpainted with "designs" and it looked creepy, like... more

I stayed at the Executive Inn and Suites while attending a wedding nearby. A friend and I had called to reserve rooms several months earlier and were quoted $99/night. We checked in together and were told the rooms would be $115 plus tax. When we protested, the front desk staff was very rude and said they couldn't do anything about... more
