I would not stay here again. The room and furnishings were very worn and outdated. The microwave had some kind of drip on the front (gross looking). They have plumbing problems. Our toilet nearly overflowed ...it didn't only because my husband shut the water off. There was a horrible stench outside like the sewers were backed up. Overall horrible place... More

We were forced to stay here over Memorial Day because of a family emergency. Most other hotels had no availability; we just needed a place to shower and sleep. Upon entering our room, I saw a framed work of "art" on the wall with four separate pictures: three kind of alien apocalypse and one with George Washington carrying a machine... More

Enroute from Washington DC to Cape Cod and Maine, we stayed at the Econo Lodge in Old Saybrook. VERY clean, well appointed and very friendly... Great value. Pretty area, residential with lots of trees and also convenient to the main highway.

Is so kind and helpful! Remembered me from last time which was quite a long time ago. Check in was super quick and hassle free. Room was clean and comfortable free WiFi and quiet. I saw nothing wrong with this hotel at all and will without a doubt be back every time I visit the area.

My wife and I decided to make a quick overnight trip to Old Saybrook and we decided to try this motel instead of our regular spot. First, it's really close to I-95. Second, it's very inexpensive. Third, you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a clean, inexpensive place, it's worth the money. Bring your own pillow, soap,... More

The place looks ok on the outside. The smell in the lobby is bad but get a whiff of the stairwell- OMG. This place is "pet friendly" which I guess means feel free to let your animals pee wherever. Beside the urine, there's the smell of carpet cleaners. It's truly awful. The staff was polite. The location was convenient but... More

This review is for those travelers with children who are used to some level of quality in their hotels. Seeing that 85% of people recommended this hotel we arrived with (what we thought were realistic) expectations given this is a Econo-lodge . This review will be fair with both positive and negative attributes. OUR ROOM: We reserved a Suite. The... More

Location is excellent, either on/off I95 or to downtown Old Saybrook or further east to Clinton and Madison. Park-like setting, well lit, ample parking. Elevator for 2nd and 3rd floor right next to front desk. Free WiFi with password. Bedroom was large and spacious enough for 2 queen size beds, the lighting however was minimal and can use some additions.... More

This is a convenient hotel with fair prices. I stayed here for one night after driving for 8 hours. The hotel is easy to find getting off the highway. The desk clerk was extremely helpful even though it was late at night. I received quick service and was in my room no problem. The room was standard but clean and... More
