My husband and I picked the old Mystic Inn for our two night stay in Mystic two weeks ago.. I picked it because the photos of the house and meals were so beautiful. I hoped it would be as shown as so many times we have stayed somewhere due to photos and have been dissapointed. Well not so at the... More

We have just toured East Coast America with friends and I must say that "The old Mystic Inn" was a wonderful experience to stay at! Such lovely character buildings furnished with so much attention to detail by the owner Michael . Each room was named after a famous literature author with artefacts and books in connection with them. Our room... More

This Inn was beautiful. My husband and I went for a weekend alone and it was perfect. The rooms were quaint and sweet. The best part was the owner and chef's attention to my food allergy. Celiac Disease is not easy to deal with when eating out or staying somewhere but he paid special attention to it which made me... More

What a treasure! We don't normally stay in B&Bs, but from the first call, the innkeeper, Michael, was so helpful. We were looking to renew our vows for our 10th anniversary, and not only was he happy to let us use the gazebo out front, but he had wonderful recommendations for a justice of the peace, dinner reservations, and activities... My husband and I recently stayed here. The entire property is beautifully done. Both buildings, the main house and the carriage house, have a lot of charm and are very quaint. We stayed in the Robert Frost room, which was very cute, super clean, and comfortable. Michael, the inn keeper/chef/owner, was hospitable and knowledgeable about the area. He made us... More

My mom and I stayed here for one night on Friday night. We got in around 2pm and Michael, the innkeeper showed us around. There was coffee, tea, hot chocolate, popcorn, sodas and waters available all the time if we wanted in the main room. There were also these DELICIOUS brownies as well. We stayed in the Harriet Beecher room... More

Oh my; Michael !! (the innkeeper); you blew us away with the cleanliness and period-appropriate Inn and Carriage House. We stayed mid week for just one night in the Mark Twain room. The pictures on the website show carpeting; but don't do the room justice! The room has new paint; and beautiful brand-new hardwood floors! (bring your slippers in the... More

The Old Mystic Inn was perfect for our anniversary weekend getaway. We spent two nights in late February and had a wonderful time. The breakfasts were beautiful and delicious and Michael was an excellent host. We stayed in the Mark Twain room in the carriage house and found it very spacious but still cozy. The fireplace was perfect for the... More
