My husband and I enjoyed a lovely overnight at the Inn. Great local art exhibits and museum. As a bonus, we took in the jazz concert at the venue attached to the Inn which was fantastic. We also appreciated the breakfast and had a nice dinner in the restaurant.

My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the Old Lyme Inn and its "The Side Door" jazz club. Besides the gorgeous inn and world-class LIVE music, the food and service were also extraordinary. While other inns may have a music theme, this inn has its own jazz club! It is just close enough to the New York City... More

We had not stayed at this inn since it was renovated so decided to enjoy an overnight because we were in Connecticut for the Norma Terris Theater in Chester. We chose Room 7 which was in a quiet location and had a very comfortable, lovely layout. That evening we dined in the restaurant and our two seafood dishes were well... More

Good, clean, historical place with some relatively minor and easily fixable problems. Such as : no toilet paper holder so roll is just sitting on back and fell in to water ! How silly, and easily fixable. An ice machine with 24 hour access would be easy and appreciated, as would small in room refrigerator. Breakfast was fine, and people... More

We spent last night here, and had the continental breakfast this morning. The decor of the inn is charming and inviting. Our room was large and bright. I didn't love the bed - too hard for me. Our room was in the back of the hotel - no nice views, but also no traffic noise. The breakfast items offered were... More

The Old Lyme inn was a beautifully kept inn with lots of charm. Our room was cozy and provided ample space. The continental breakfast included with our stay had a variety of choices. We had dinner on the patio which was very pretty . We hope to visit the jazz club on the premises the next time we stay. Pam,... More

Went here recently for the Jazz and brunch- both turned our very enjoyable. The location in Old Lyme is very good, but it is close to the highway/road so there is some road noise - not disturbingly so for us, though. The setting was exquisite in that it is an 1865 Inn and we sat outside underneath the centuries old... More

I hesitate to review restaurants because the dining experience can change, sometimes dramatically, if the owner, manager, or chef changes. This is true of the Old Lyme Inn. Based on past experiences over the past thirty years, I would have rated the restaurant from one star to five stars, depending on the year. Currently under the new (About November 2014)... More

We wanted a place to get away to after spending our days with grandchildren at the beach (a relative has two cottages on the beach) over the July 4 weekend. This was perfect - quiet, nice big room, comfortable bed, modern bath, and very nice continental breakfast. The restaurant looked inviting although we were never there for a meal as... More

The promise of most B&B's is quaint, unique decor and personalized service from the front desk. The drawback of B&B's is that quaint decor is often buried under a layer of old dust and musty, stale smells. At the Old Lyme Inn you gett all the promise of B&Bs and none of the drawbacks. The rooms at the inn were... More
