I grew up in Old Lyme and go back regularly to see my parents there. When we have the opportunity, I'll join my sisters or friends in the bar for a drink. The inn, remodeled by the Kitchens family, is cozy, classy, and comfortably elegant. My husband and I were lucky enough to be able to spend the night recently... More

Old Lyme Inn is just a charming quaint little place. From the food to the room, everything was just great. I stayed in the Modern Wing room 8 and it was just wonderful. The décor, furniture and fireplace made my stay feel like I was right at home. After a long day on the road it was nice to kick... More

We've eaten at the Inn several times - lunch and dinner. We've been impressed with the meals and the service. The hidden treasure is their jazz club called, The Side Door. We attended for the first time in January 2015, and didn't want to leave because of the quartet who entertained us. The club is well respected for bringing in... More

We drove an hour in the snow on Valentine's day to have dinner and stay for the Jazz club next door. We ordered 2 bottles of wine and a full dinner. After 2 hours the waiter told us we had to leave as there was " no other nice way to say that". As we were walking to the jazz... More

The Inn is very charming and the staff were very nice. My sister #10) and I each had a room( #9) in the Inn ( not the modern section). The room was very bare minimum-we were both very surprised to see there was no TV and no clock and only two plastic hangers in the closet. The carpet was so... More

As a small business owner of a Catering and Foods-to-Go operation, it was very challenging to find a venue that could create one long cocktail party in lieu of a sit-down dinner. After working with the staff, Chef Nick and Elisa, the Event Coordinator, put together an amazing event that our guests will not soon forget! Our unique service featured... More

My husband and I stayed here for a quick one night get away. Room #4 in the newer section was spacious, clean and quiet with lots of natural light. The bed was comfortable and the fireplace provided heat and a nice ambiance. It's in the front corner of the building on the side away from the parking lot and restaurant,... More

My stay at the Old Lyme in this past Wednesday through Saturday was just a delight. The room was warm and inviting. The atmosphere was pleasnt and comfortable. My meal was quite memorable, truly delicious. I look forward to staying there again as soon as possible.

We recently stayed and dined at the Old Lyme Inn and had the same great experience we have had on several previous visits. Our room was in the newer section of the inn and was spacious and extremely clean. As always, we were grateful for so many of the amentities that are not usually available in historic New England Inns... More

My husband and I stayed at the Inn 11/8-11/9 to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We booked the "All That Jazz" package specifically because we are huge fans of live music, but also liked that it was an all-inclusive solution. Front desk service upon check-in was thorough and friendly. Our room was cozy, spacious, and clean. (Though the mattress and pillows... More
