Hotel was amazingly clean! Customer service exceptional! After checking in, we asked how far the beach was. Although we had a car they offered to take us and pick us up from the beach to avoid paying parking fee. So very convenient! Within 15 minutes we were in the shuttle and on our way. Asked the driver for suggestions on... More

Talk about a delightful surprise.....I was stunned at my wonderful experience at this small hotel. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. My room (218) was beautifully furnished; the bed and pillows were very comfortable; the refrigerator was "ice" cold; the Keurig coffee maker was a pleasant surprise. One more piece of uniqueness--you can crank open the windows for fresh... More

We have just had our youngest son's wedding at the Norwalk Inn on September 7th. It was a small but intimate affair with just immediate family, maybe 30 - 35 people including some babies. I was so delighted to see the conservatory all decked out in wedding regalia, some of which was loaned to us by the Hotel. The staff... More

We have been to the Norwalk Inn for 2 events both of which were outstanding when it came to the food. My husband and I care about food and were pleased with the portions and quality. We were outside for an event and one was held inside. The staff were very professional. We stayed at the Inn for one event... More

I had a two night stay here and, though the reception areas and exterior look fine, the place is very tired. The room was small and cramped and the A/C didn't work very well. There was a dampness to the bed clothing and an over-wheel mint sense of the thousands of people who had slept there beforehand. The bar is... More

Found out 10 minutes after my 6-year-old fell asleep. Normally, I'd ask for a different room, but didn't want her to wake up. So I left the windows open and continually got woken up by the train. Still 80+ degrees. I'd rather sleep in prison than stay at this dump.

Oh boy have you ever had this happen to you. You finally arrive after a long day of travelling, at your Pre-Booked Motel, in a different country and unfamiliar surroundings, only to be told 'sorry we have no record of your booking and we have never heard of Wotif' (Wotif.com is an internet Motel booking company based in Australia) Then... This is my second attempt at a review. My first review was censored since I said one character trait that could be deemed as slander towards an individual.... or something. Anyway, I'm glad I got a chance to resubmit as things happened before I checked out. The best was when a bartender yelled at my friend's children as they played... More

We needed somewhere to stay while passing through CT - really just a safe, comfortable place to rest before driving on. We stumbled upon the Norwalk Inn as it is not too far off the highway. While it is an older hotel, the rooms were very comfortable - the beds would rival those in high-end hotels. Breakfast was included -... More

Two out of the three times we interacted with the front desk staff, they were rude and poorly trained. The guy that checked us in was nice and generally professional. However, the woman that took our reservation was super rude and couldn't care less if we booked with them or not. Then, we had ridiculous issues with noise outside of... More
