My wife and I were at the Inn when our freak snow storm hit. Only 3 inches at the Inn, 17 inches at home, but no power. John got fires going in all the fireplaces, we had flashlights and candles. Mary still had a full breakfast for all of us. It was just a great time and the atmosphere was... More

Just returned from a one night stay at the Inn at Lower Farm. Our only regret is that we didn't stay longer. The inn is located along a charming road that meanders through the countryside and makes it way into Mystic. The home has been beautifully restored and the Innkeepers, Mary and Jon have thought of everything. From the beautiful... More

Lovely property. Mary and John are wonderful hosts. Mary's an amazing cook -- where else can you get pumpkin pancakes? Beautiful room, comfortable bed. Everything you can ask for in an inn. More

The house is every bit of an old country farmhouse, which gives it charm. The rooms are large and comfortable. The grounds are expansive with excellent places to sit and talk. This is, indeed, a lovely spot away from the busy towns nearby, but close enough for easy touring and meals. The owners were away, but there guest host was... More

This inn is even more beautiful than the website photos suggest. Our room (the George Ayn) was spacious and extremely comfortable, and Mary's breakfasts were bountiful and delicious, with lovely homemade jam (I bought some to take home with me). The grounds are lovely, with meandering stone walls that seem to divide them into rooms. Jon and Mary spent two... More

I booked this B&B because I saw a picture of the dining room online and loved it. It's much more than that. The house is over 200 years and it's absolutely charming. The decor fits the farmhouse extremely well, beds are surprisingly comfortable and I loved the fact that every night all windows are lit with electric candles. This makes... More

We have been to many B&B's in New England, and our experience at the Inn at Lower Farm was the absolute best we have ever had. The setting and ambience of the Inn were fantastic and the the hospitality of the owners, Mary and Jon, was superb. They really make you feel like family, and Mary's breakfasts were scrumptious! Her... More

It is not easy to find a charming inn or B and B near Mystic, CT. We are picky travelers and we searched for hours on-line. My husband finally discovered this charming spot on the website, I LOVE INNS. This site specializes in historic lodging and steered us to the Inn at Lower Farm. What a find! This farm has... More

We stayed for two nights during the week- getting away from the kids for a few days. Immediately upon entering the bed and breakfast, Mary greeted us by name and made us feel comfortable. Throughout our stay, she and John ensured that everything was taken care of so that we could just relax. We had the "Escape" package, which gave... More
