We rented rooms in the Carriage House and also hosted a luncheon at the Inn (for friends and family) in memory of my father. We were at the Inn very early in their season so there were no other guests staying there while we were there. Therefore, we were given a lot of attention by the staff (Kate, in particular)... More

We traveled to Western CT to see the foliage and Kent Falls State Park. We saw this inn on "LitchfieldHills.com", part of the Western CT visitor's bureau. It was perfect for our needs. We booked a Queen room in the carriage house but were upgraded to a king room in the main house due to a very quiet part of... More

We stayed here for a Saturday night in the fall and were extremely impressed. The staff is exceedingly friendly. The building is over 300 years old, extremely well kept and full of beautiful antiques. This place is a gem. I'd give it 5 stars, but the breakfast was a little underwhelming for the price of the B&B.

We stayed at this place because I had to be at Lime Rock Park at 7:30 AM and it was too far to drive in the morning from my home. Didn't really care where we stayed so I chose Blackberry River Inn. It looked OK on their site. When we arrived we were shocked to see how beautiful the place... More

A historical B&B. We stayed in the Carriage house. The room was small but charming. It had a poster bed with satin duvet and hardwood floors. TV didn't work though. Breakfast was excellent. The host recommended dinner at Infinity Bistro. Dinner was delicious. It was located off Route 44. Some road noise can be heard but it wasn't too bad.... More

My husband and I were on a motorcycle trip in the area for the weekend. We unexpectedly needed a place to stay for the night and were more than thrilled from the welcome we received from Waddy at Blackberry River Inn. We got more than we had hoped for with the kind professional service, comfortable room and tasty breakfast in... More

I recently stayed at the Inn for a high school reunion. After some confusion at check in the stay was great. The Inn and the room were clean and welcoming. Breakfast was good and the afternoon cookie a welcome treat. I travel over 200 nights a year for work and I have to say my stay at the Blackberry River... More

My husband and I traveled to the Berkshires 10 days ago to see a friend's art exhibit in Great Barrington. Because the trip was hastily planned we couldn't get a room in GB for Saturday night and then we found a room at the Blackberry River Inn. The inn was lovely. A big,old gracious house. Eric who I spoke with... More

My husband and I met up with our friends at this B & B recently. On the positive side, the main house was large and beautiful. There was a large pool area and lawn where we were able to just sit and talk. The person who checked us in was very pleasant and friendly and they were in no hurry... More

Two women, fabulous and mature, stayed one Saturday night. Booked the twin-bedded room in the Carriage House. Although the room was a little small, we enjoyed the parlor right outside of our door - kicked off our shoes, had a nice cold beverage, and caught up. My bed was comfy, the noise was nonexistent to me. The water pressure in... More
