This is the 3rd time we have stayed at the Mountainview Inn and as usual, both Dean and Jean Marie ensured out stay was as comfortable and enjoyable as ever from the moment we arrived until we left. The décor of the Inn is beautiful, with Victorian themes. Dean is a very talented painter and you can see his works... More

My husband and I recently spent a delightful three nights at the Mountain View Inn, enjoying its high standard of accommodation and the beauty of its grounds. The Inn has charm and character, and the room we stayed in was furnished with comfortable elegance. A great bonus was the natural light coming into the bathroom making it ideal for shaving,... More

The Mountain View Inn is a charming, quaint Country Inn that exudes a genuinely friendly and welcoming ambiance. Richly decorated with antiques and collectibles it reflects the pride of the innkeepers. The Peacock Motif home accents added by Jean Marie are quite lovely and reminiscent of my days in India. Guest rooms are comfortably appointed with fresh linens, fluffy towels... More

We chose The Mountain View Inn because of it's location to The Infinity concert hall. The Inn grounds are beautiful and we really enjoyed the patio. The front porch is very nice. Our room was nice as well. We were able to walk to The Infinity but would recommend bringing a flashlight for the walk home. I was so looking... More

Mountain View is undoubtedly the most beautiful b&b we've ever stayed in. The condition of the house makes it look like the place opened yesterday. Tastefully decorated, New England charm and gracious hosts who went out of their way to get us off early to a graduation in the morning. I have already recommended this inn to friends and acquaintances.... More

The cottage is a dive, and I will upload photos so you can see. This is one over-priced, worn-out place to stay. The kitchen was absolutely filthy and just gross. The coffee pot still had coffee from the last guest. The kitchen drawers were just filthy and unsanitary and the dish rack was super disgusting. There were ants all over... More

We were shocked and saddened by Maria's review of her stay in our Guest House. Over the course of 11+ years we have always endeavored to provide guests with a good stay and are very concerned when their experience doesn't live up to their expectations. The Guest House is a converted horse carriage barn dating from the late 19th century.... More

We traveled to Norfolk to see a concert at Infinity Hall, and chose the Mountain View Inn for its proximity to the venue and the favorable reviews. It was everything we wanted, and more. Dean and Jean Marie are wonderful hosts. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Dean and offered chocolate chip cookies and juice. He showed us to our... More

All the positive reviewers before us do have one thing in common; they are all right. What a nice Inn and what a very nice innkeeper; Dean. We did stay for one night only in April '15 and had not only a good room in this old house, we also had a very nice conversation on the porche, breakfast etc.... More

He had prepared chocolate chip cookies and a wonderful juice drink for our refreshment upon arrival. Breakfasts were great. We Stayed in Jenny's room. The room... More

This was my second stay at Mountain View Inn. I come up to Norfolk for Infinity Music Hall and in the winter I prefer not to have to face the 1 1/2 hr home. The Inn's hosts Dean & Jean Marie are very pleasant, caring and accommodating. The breakfast is very good. I prefer to stay in Jenny's Room because... More
