What a delightful B&B. right in historic downtown Newtown Connecticut . Beautiful home with lots of space for several guests to have both privacy and connection. And the attention to detail was wonderful. It was comfortable and made me feel at home. I will certainly be back !

John and Jane were amazing. We felt at home as soon as we walked through the door. Delicious breakfast with home made pancakes and scones. Nice tea selection. Each suite has a unique decor. Beautiful tranquil gardens.

When looking for venues for our wedding, we had a vision of what we were looking for but it took some time to find the right place. As soon as we walked into the Dana-Holcombe House, we knew we found it. We had our wedding this weekend at the House and it was beyond what we could have hoped for.... More

We were fortunate to have a wonderful experience at the Dana-Holcombe House. John and Jane are beyond welcoming. Our room was not a room, but a suite. The suite was HUGE with 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, dining area and many window seats. Breakfast in the dining room included fruit, juice, quiche, wonderful scones, muffins and coffee cake. Everything... More

I was in Newtown for business reasons and a friend suggested staying at the Dana-Holcome house, which is right in the middle of town. I agreed and boy, was I surprised. The house itself is absolutely immaculate, the rooms are large, distinct and beautifully decorated. Though the architecture looks like it is an historic home, it was actually built recently,... Nestled in a classically-picturesque Western Connecticut town, The Dana-Holcombe House is an extraordinary bed and breakfast. Located on the main street of this charming town, the house sits in the historic section of Newtown. A charming facade greets clients as they climb the stairs to the main entrance. Inside, the rooms and suites are commodious, fetching, and classy. The owners,... More

For the past five years, my husband and I come from CA to visit with family in CT and have stayed at this superlative Inn, twice a year--in summer and at Christmas. Every time, we remark on how lucky we are to have discovered this treasure. We have traveled quite a bit around the world and have been fortunate to... More

A wonderfully cared for & decorated facility. The host & hostess were charming and helpful as we're the puppies. The location is convenient and the grounds are well maintained. Whenever we are in the area we plan on staying at the Dana Holcombe house.

We stayed at this beautiful inn because we had a birthday party to attend in Newtown. Have never been to this part of CT before and we were pleasantly surprised at its' beauty. The owners of this inn, John and Jane could not have been more accommodating. This inn had been rebuilt after a fire claimed the original building. It... More

I just returned from a weekend at this absolutely stunning guest house in Newtown, Ct. It has to be the finest and most tastefully decorated guest house I've ever experienced, and I HAVE stayed in many guest houses in many states and in several coutries. There is exquisite attention to detail, as if every painting and every article of furniture... More
