The Hopkins Inn is a great well situated with a wrap around views of the Lake. Fun winery next door. The restaurant caters amazing Austrian food cuisine. Food and Service are superb. Highly recommended to locals and visitors. Go and Visit now!

We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon at the Inn. Like other reviews mentioned, the view from the deck is lovely, looking down on lake Waramaug. Our meal was very good......we both had tournedos of beef -- tender with a delicious gravy. The potato galette was also tasty. They also had quite a good list of desserts. We would definitely... My husband and I have stayed at the inn numerous times. We know we can ALWAYS count on it to be neat and clean. We had not, however, stayed in the ANNEX apartment. With this trip, a mini-reunion with family, we had our adult daughter accompany us and thought we would book the ANNEX apartment for the week. Two bedrooms,... More

The restaurant is comfortable but unfortunately not enough window seating to enjoy the view. Our first visit we were able to sit on the deck overlooking the Lake (summer), second time had a window seat (fall) and third time(spring) we were tucked in an area near a hall which the wait staff uses for servicing-a little annoying but everyone was... We went here the other night for a romantic date. It was lovely to sit outside on the porch over looking the lake. We have eaten here several times before and the service was always slow and snobby.( It is understandable how rude the service can be if you are familiar with the weekender groups who come up and expect... The inn is nicely situated with a decent view of the lake and across the street from a winery. We stayed for one night in room 11. The room was right over he front door and adjacent to the hallway where the public bathrooms are located. There was a fair amount of noticible foot traffic up and down the stairs... More

Pleasant location with idyllic views from the restaurant. We dined here for dinner and breakfast. Dinner entrees were adequate (non-spectacular). Roast duck in orange sauce tasted ok, but tasted more like raspberry with a hint of celery rather than orange. The sauce was lukewarm. Seafood casserole tasted better than the duck, but less generously portioned. Dessert options were mostly ice-cream... More

This is pure New England. No opulence or grandeur. However, It's clean and a quiet resting place in the CT. mountains where the food in the restaurant, given the remoteness, is excellent. It is worth a long weekend to get some relaxation. The staff was very friendly and makes you feel at home. Overall a good value.

We stayed for two days. The food at the restaurant had no flavor. I don't normally stay at B&B's, but I thought it was called a bed & breakfast because you got breakfast. Not here. You don't even get complimentary coffee in the morning. The place is very clean, however, it is not well maintained. Peeling paint on the outside... More
