In town and needed a one night stay on a Saturday night. No problem. Nice room on second floor overlooking lake. Very quiet. Very clean. Not over the top fancy but more than adequate. Note, no TV but that was fine. They did have wifi which was nice. Bathrooms are small so do not be surprised. Setting of the hotel... More

We lucked out with a one-night Saturday night last-minute reservationin the Annex. The front desk staff was very polite and helpful. There is a winery next door- which was perfect because we didn't need to drive anywhere! Although there are no hiking trails close-by, the owners directed us to a secluded beach area where we walked around and enjoyed wonderful... More

The rooms were bad. It was a bed and a broken tv. No cell service. When I called the number they gave me to call, their was an angry woman on the other end and was complaining about having to do her job. She came to the room (which was above her house) and banged on the door and when... More

Have eaten here on and off for 23 years. Setting is one of the best in western connecticut, overlooking lake waramug. This time of year with foliage at its peak and the sun setting over the lack, outstanding. The menu hasn't changed much in all the years. Had a nice glass of ventliner. Only available by the glass, couldn't figure out... More

The setting of this Inn is amazing! The view is beautiful. However, the beds are rock hard, the pillows are flat and the showers are so small that it is hard for a thin person to even turn around. You are paying for the view not for a good night's sleep.

We stayed for four nights and didn't want to leave! The views are amazing and the location is very peaceful. It is also fairly close to other beautiful towns we visited on our travels so we would go exploring each day and looked forward to returning to the inn. We loved the inn and felt very comfortable there; I liked... More

We stayed at the inn for two nights and, over all, were very happy with it. The high points were the view from the restaurant terrace, private beach, the thoughtful inn-keeper, cleanliness, and sleep quality, as the mattresses are firm and the rooms are quiet. Low points included a sloppy check out process where the attendant pulled up a different... More

We had lunch on a Sunday afternoon at the Inn. Like other reviews mentioned, the view from the deck is lovely, looking down on lake Waramaug. Our meal was very good......we both had tournedos of beef -- tender with a delicious gravy. The potato galette was also tasty. They also had quite a good list of desserts. We would definitely... My husband and I have stayed at the inn numerous times. We know we can ALWAYS count on it to be neat and clean. We had not, however, stayed in the ANNEX apartment. With this trip, a mini-reunion with family, we had our adult daughter accompany us and thought we would book the ANNEX apartment for the week. Two bedrooms,... More
