The purpose of our stay at The Homestead Inn was to get together with long time friends for the weekend. What a delightful Inn. Several nice and varied restaurants within walking distance of the property. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There was a wine and cheese reception one night that was a blast. Not out of control, just fun. Met... More

This Victorian B&B is a charm. It has single/doubles rooms and a 2 bedroom suite. Francesca is the Innkeeper and will take care of your every need. The floral walls and dark oak staircase greet you as you arrive. The breakfast room has tea and coffee available. The morning breakfast has mouthwatering waffles, egg dishes, sausages, cereals, yogurt, breads and... More

Thank you for the glowing review! I apologize for taking so long to respond. What a whirlwind summer and fall we've had here at the Homestead. It was an absolute delight hosting family of both the bride and the groom (you and your family included) for that weekend's local wedding. Hopefully a future, equally exciting event will bring you back... More

This Inn was a very warm and friendly place. Breakfasts were delicious. The rooms could use an update, they were a bit tired looking, but the price was fair. The location was perfect as we could easily walk into town for dinner. The manager recommended and made reservations for us at her two favorite restaurants and they were both excellent.... More

Thank you for the kind words. It was a pleasure having you both here. One of my most favorite things about working here is getting to see guests meet new people and make new friends. I do recall you having that experience with others staying here at the same time. If you're ever back in the area and in need... More

This bed & breakfast is lovely and charming. We stayed 4 nights here and I loved the quaint, cozy feel of this Victorian home. It was very clean, no dust anywhere, and quiet. We didn't run into other guests during our stay, and the beds were comfy. We stayed in the "Marilyn Monroe" suite that she stayed in during the... More

Thank you for acknowledging what a great job our two housekeepers do to keep the Inn clean, comfortable and cozy. Since August we've been stepping up our game. We've recently had all of our guest room chairs, cushions, curtains and carpets professionally cleaned and with the slower winter months on the horizon, we will be touching up the paint and... More

My wife and I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Homestead Inn. The staff was extremely helpful and the breakfasts were fantastic. Francisca, thanks for ensuring our visit was a memorable one. Brett, Leslie, and Amelia Buchheit

Well, I'm embarrassed at how long it's taken me to find the opportunity to say, "Thank you!" You have a beautiful family and I continue to be impressed at how you managed to assemble and dismantle that crib so quickly and quietly. Don't wait too long to come back for another visit. We want to be able to recognize that... More

The charming Homestead Inn is well located and the staff could not have been more hospitable and helpful. Breakfasts were ample and delicious. The town green (and many restaurants) are within very easy walking distance.

I love when guests who hail from large, sophisticated, exciting cities find our town and B&B to be warm and cozy; quaint and charming. It means we're doing something right. We appreciate YOUR appreciation! Do come back and visit us again. More

The Homestead Inn is a nice, middle-of-the road B&B. Well located at the top of the green in New Milford, it has a charming New England exterior. The interior, however, is quite dated. The rooms, while average sized and clean, look and are quite old. I was quite surprised by the requirement to pay for our stay at the time... More

Thank you for the kind words. We try to be all about service here at the Homestead and it sounds like we managed to meet that expectation set for ourselves. I apologize for not following up on some of the important observations you shared in your review, sooner. In deed, I was filling in as innkeeper for owners Bill &... More

Because of a Gilmore Girls fan's blog, we chose to spend a weekend in New Milford, CT... New Milford does indeed on the whole resemble most Stars Hollow, and yes, you would also have to add elements of Kent (just up the lovely Route 7) and the similar town green of Litchfield...While the Homestead Inn is not The Independence or... A friendly place with clean, warm rooms and a comfy bed that allowed us to bring our Golden Retriever. Now, not every room allows this, so make sure you mention it so they can check the availability of the dog friendly rooms. We felt welcomed and had two good breakfasts as well. Some "dog friendly" places say that, and we... More

Homestead Inn, Milford, Ct Bed and Breakfast can be a wonderful experience. This was not! We had read the reviews of this BnB on Trip Advisor they seemed fine, even glowing. We pulled up to this old home which was right off the main road. Check in was not so friendly, we were asked for our payment upfront before being... More

Whew, this review surprised me. The invoice reflected the amount reimbursed to me by Bed and Breakfast.com for the use of the gift card (80% of the face value). That is the amount that the IRS considers as paid. The use of the Gift Card as stated on the back, requires the innkeeper to be informed that a BedandBreakfast.com Costco... More
