If you want granite and new carpet, go to the Hilton Garden Inn across the river in Groton. If you want to save a few bucks this is your hotel. Yes, it's old and has a few miles on it, but the basic bones are still good. Rooms are basic -- nothing fancy -- but it has a small bar... more

A perfectly fine room--right on track for the Holiday Inn. Remember when average hotels had a lounge? This one does. They have a breakfast restaurant, too--I didn't use it, but saw plenty of others doing so. If you have kids, ask to stay in the 500 section, which is first floor in the "other" building. The "other building" has the... more

I thought this hotel was perfect for the money. Sure it's a Holiday Inn, but you can't go in expecting the Grand Hyatt. The front desk staff were very helpful, and even offered to move my room to the non-smoking wing of the hotel (rather than a non-smoking room in the "smokey" hallways). They also let us check in early... more

We stayed at the Holiday Inn, New London, CT, for two nights. The front desk employees were always helpful and answered all of questions about the area. The rooms and entire hotel have been refurbished. Most of the rooms have everything you need.....micro, coffee maker, refrig., ironing board and iron, etc... We would stay again. Our only disappointment was no... more

Stayed here for a night of fun at Mohegan Sun. The staff welcomed us with open arms. Our room was incredibly clean and quiet even for a Saturday night. The drive to Mohegan was easy. The restaurant at the hotel had a great breakfast menu and friendly wait staff. The highway, restaurants and shopping mall is nearby. What a hidden gem... more

This hotel is absolutely a disgrace to the Holiday Inn name. First off, the front desk staff, and even the management, were rude and seemed to have a bad temper. I can't see a reason why a company would treat their customers that way. Second, the hotel is completely overpriced. The whole building is old and outdated and smells terrible.... more

We booked a nonsmoking room, but the hallway leading to our room reeked terribly of stale cigarette smoke. The room was clean and nicely decorated, but the sheets were rough and the pillows were the lumpiest I'd ever seen. Free WIFI was good. The pool was nice, but we had to walk outside to get to it, and there was... more

This is definitely not a new property but we found our room to be clean and comfortable. We often times have problems with the bed but slept well here. more

We attended a wedding, this past weekend and stayed at the Holiday Inn New London. It is very easy to get to and convenient to all the local attractions. I was a bit apprehensive about staying there after I had read all the previous posts/reviews about this hotel. I was expecting an uncomfoprtable weekend, but was pleasantly surprised to the... more

This was place is awful. Tired and worn at the very best. It has a nasty smell in the rooms. The hallways are dank and dark and do not look clean at all. Our room did not feel clean - I couldn't put my finger on it but it just didn't feel clean. There were some stray hairs left in... more
