This hotel is loud inside and out! It is right off of the highway which is convenient but loud. The layout/construction of the hotel is such that the hallways vibrate with noise. There are heavy stairway doors and fire doors thoughout that slam so loud it is jarring. People talking in the hall echo. Maid didn't throw away empty paper... more

Some Holiday Inns are pretty nice (Ellsworth, ME), and others are just passable. This one was in the latter category. The Radisson is much nicer, and in a better location. I won't stay at this Holi again. more

Garmin couldnt locate this place. Good thing I printed the website directions. Odd room numbering system - room numbers didnt make any sense. On check-in, I was the lucky winner to get the front-desk-trainee (with no supervisor) who gave me the wrong directions to get to the room. As a result, we had to circle the building with all our... more

First off if you are traveling via GPS it may not recognize the address. I had to program mine for 299 N. Frontage Rd. Secondly, you will see the sign for Outback Steakhouse before you see the Holiday Inn sign, so make sure you make that turn because it's a one way street and will dump you back on I-95.... more

Stayed at the hotel for one night with 2 kids 11 and 13. This was our 2nd stay here. On the good side, the beds were very comfortable with fresh white linen and blankets and lots of soft fluffy pillows. The bathroom was stocked with plenty of thick towels for the whole family and the usual soap, shampoo, etc. The... more

We have just returned from visiting colleges. One of our stops was New London, CT where we visited Connecticut College. Our room was fine, the beds were quite comfortable and the staff went out of their way to make our short stay an overwhelming success. Kimmy, the front desk clerk could not have been more helpful. Breakfast at the hotel... more

I was garanteed a non smoking room and when I checked in with my family only smoking rooms were available. Our family was conjested all weekend due to the smoke. It took 45 minutes to deliver a fourth set of towels which I actually went down to the front desk for and had the manager tell me that it would... more

If you want granite and new carpet, go to the Hilton Garden Inn across the river in Groton. If you want to save a few bucks this is your hotel. Yes, it's old and has a few miles on it, but the basic bones are still good. Rooms are basic -- nothing fancy -- but it has a small bar... more
