Needed a place convenient to Yale. To help set expectations for future travelers...the hotel is fine. It could use a steam cleaning on the little things that don't really matter when it comes to a short stay. Bed was fine, shower was warm, room was adequate. However...it does have the smell of smoke, I suspect the room had been smoked... More

They did not have my upgraded room in non-smoking did not discount the lesser room I received because my "internet" rate was lower than they could do at desk...Didn't have a non smoking room for the people behind me either...I felt scammed. Also all the rooms are pet friendly which could complicate stay if you have allergies.

Upon arriving I knew what I was in for by looking at the people standing in front: what appeared to be prostitutes. First morning, as my husband, coworker and I are eating breakfast a couple of individuals walk right through the breakfast area with a dead body on a gurney. The staff act as if nothing is happening, and no... More

I stayed one night with my husband as we needed a stop off during a long trip.... I kind assumed this would be like other La Quinta's I've stayed at before, but.... no. The hotel was run down and the room was a very basic motel room with stains and drips down the walls, the Queen sized bed was really... More

It is obviously not a three star hotel. The bathroom size was good. Yes it is an old hotel. The parking lot is not scary at all. There is a Bank of America on one side and an Ikea on the other side of the hotel. There is a gas station on the other side of the Bank of America.... More

My wife & I generally stay at LaQuinta. We were vey surprised at the condition of this location. The property looks like it is very old and worn. Our room # was 208 and this is what we saw in our room: Yellow substance dripping down the wall in the bathroom; sink did not drain; toilet would not flush properly,... More

For the price of $89, this was certainly fine for an overnite stay. It is conveniently located just off the hiway near Ikea. Check-in was smooth and the room was fine with two double beds. It was convenient that no password was needed to use the in room internet connection. The bathroom shower area was not well cleaned. There was... More

This La Quinta is more expensive than most, and we stayed on a special event weekend. Nonetheless it was better priced than other surrounding hotels, was convenient and had connected and next door restaurants which were very handy. Our room was a queen suite and nicely appointed. We would certainly stay here in the future. The other reviews on Trip... More

We were dropping our son off at Yale during the reunion weekend for the 50 and 40th, so things were a bit tight. This hotel is located only 2 mile drive from Yale. It would not be a destination by it self. It is noisy (right next to 95), way too warm for my liking. It was old and run... More

It's kind of a sad, old hotel - lots of "modernizations" throughout and overall they've done a reasonable job, but still some sloppy patch jobs around. The staff seems to try hard. Nothing special, but nothing horrible either.
