Definitely the worst place we have stayed in a very long time. Hotel employees, except for one, were rude and did not care at all about the customer. Bath room very dirty and bathtub would not drain. We reported the problem 3 times during a 2-day stay but it never got fixed. Promised transportation to and from Amtrak station not... more

I had stayed at La Quinta before, when it was the Fairfield Inn. Given the limited selection of hotels in New Haven, it is a good, practical choice if you plan to just drop off your child at Yale or some other nearby university. In this visit, I stayed for three nights. The rate, much cheaper than any alternative in... more

Hallways had an overwhelming smell of air freshener or scented cleaning products. I-95 is right in front of the hotel & road noise is a problem. Rates were a good bit less than the other Yale area hotels, but it is also further from campus. more

I stayed at the LaQuinta for three nights on business. It is located next to Interstate 95. The area is not really all that secure, as in I wouldn't go running without a group. I consider convenience to mean you can walk somewhere, the LaQuinta is not convenient to much, especially at night. The place is dumpy and dirty. The... more

This hotel is in the process of transforming over from a Fairfield Inn to a La Quinta. It is a great location if you will be driving all over South Central Connecticut- 5 mins drive to downtown New Haven, easy access to I-95, I-91, Rt. 34, free parking- easy to get in and out. Rooms are old and hallways, elevator,... more

We stayed two nights at this hotel. The lobby/structure of the hotel was a bit old, but upkeep was generally good. Service when checking in/out was efficient, but the employees were not friendly and never smiled. Parking was a bit of a problem. It was free, but there weren't enough spaces in the well-lit front of the hotel. Our WIFI... more

Very nice hotel with above average breakfast for a "continental" in this class. We had a large room with a separate sleeping area and a pull-out sleeper sofa. While the whole hotel is non-smoking, our room appeared to have been previouisly a smoking room and there was a VERY feint resonance of smoke, but nothing of serious concern. more

We just returned from a stay at the Fairfield Inn for Parents Weekend at Yale. On all of our past visits we stayed at the Omni since it is within walking distance of Yale but due to Parents Weekend it was booked. We were very happy with the Fairfield Inn - the room size was larger than the Omni and... more

Wanted to stay at the OMNI so we could walk to Yale (debate tournament for my son) but it was booked, so we tried the Marriott Fairfield. The staff is a real asset, all friendly, will go out of their way to help. Right next to a busy freeway, but soundproofing is good. With AC on I couldnt hear much... more

Not much to look at from the outside, but it's very convenient to get to, right off the highway, and once inside all is fine. Not much in the way of views unless you are on a high floor overlooking Long Island Sound. Room was spacious and clean. I arrived early and the room wasn't ready, they don't guarantee arrivals... more
