A romantic getaway was ruined by the infestation of cockroaches and lots of tiny gnat-like flies. My wife and I didn't feel comfortable sharing the room with roaches...and these roaches are the brave kind that DON'T run away when the lights go on. My wife being especially fearful of insects (even harmless ones like ladybugs), this romantic evening was a... more

We definitely felt unsafe at this hotel. There were long-term residents that made their presence all too known. One of the buildings was condemned/ boarded up, the others in very poor shape. I don't know how they can even call themselves an chain member of Econo Lodge, it is not a suitable place for a family to stay. Very unclean,... more

I think you've got to narrow down what you want out of a motel. As a graduate student traveling to New Haven to do research at Yale, the three most important things to me were cost, convenience, and safety. This hotel, even with the cost of a rental car and daily parking rates, was still cheaper than all the hotels... more

My wife and I are travelling for seven months and after 4 and half months and having already been to Central America i have never felt so unsafe as i did at this hotel. We only got to sleep at 4am as we had to keep checking the car as gangs of lads were driving up and down the car... more

Well it looks like we're going to break with the pattern here. I have to say, for the price we paid this was an excellent accommodation. We drove in for a conference at Yale. We were three men, one professor and two Ph.D. candidates. As two of us are on a bit of a budget this hotel was a God-send... more

This is one of the worst places I had ever stayed at. I did not feel safe at all and the room was horrid. It had a musty smell, the towels were thin and ratty. Never again. more

I arrived to hotel in the middle of the night, around 3am. The person at the front desk gave me a room key and a room assignment to a room that a man was already occupying, which I discovered when he yelled through the door and startled me. When reassigned to a new room, I discovered that the entrance door... more

I booked a room here because my sister was staying here as well. I should have checked trip advisor, but I didn't even think to at the time. The room had a musty smell to it. Don't let the name fool you. It is very run down. The pillows were disgusting. They must have been 100 years old. I had... more

They made me angry before I even arrived, as the directions to the hotel they provided on their website 1) had a key mistake, adding five miles to the trip, and 2) were based on travel from NYC -- beware if you are not coming from NYC, and instead are downtown or points east - as these will turn a... more

This place was absolutely, positively, horrible!! It has no redeeming qualities, not even a cheap price. It is totally run down, the AC was broken and while they put in window units, it didn't help at all. The lobby kind of fools you into thinking it may not be that bad, but don't be fooled. You drive around back to... more
