Extremely well staffed desk and courteous service. They definitely value their guests. Room was clean, however bathroom is very small. Although hotel was fully booked, it was quiet in the hallway and room. Parking is free and can walk around immediate town, where there are some stores and restaurants, although not a great selection. Breakfast is fine and will cost... more

Friendly personnel at front desk ,free cookies, free parking the night we were there, and comfortable clean rooms were pluses. On the negative side, bathrooms are small and breakfast is not included in the room price which is relatively high for value received. more

The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly and courteous. The room itself was spacious with comfortable beds. I was travelling alone - and did not feel particularly threatened by the area, but I can see that if you were to go off wandering about late at night by yourself it might be a bit of an unwise idea. That's... more

We booked this property with a AA discount and paid a decent rate. This is a clean and tidy hotel, a typical Courtyard. Check in was smooth, parking is adequate. Front desk very nice and allowed us a one-hour late check-out to accommodate our schedule at Yale. We had a spacious queen-bedded room with two beds facing Whalley Street and... more

I had the opportunity to spend one night at the Courtyard hotel in New Haven Connecticut. On a scale of 1 to 10, my overall rating would be a six. Check-in was “Marriott quick” taking less than a minute. My room was #516, a double facing the street. I used the AAA rate of $149 per night. Parking is behind... more

Do not use the telephone in your room!!! Being elderly and techniclogically inept, I do not have my own portable telephone. I used the used the telephone provided by Marriot for two approximately five to ten minute telephone calls from New Haven to New York City and was charged $58.19! When I complained, the desk cut the amount billed in half,... more

Of course, the room is up to standards, but this hotel does not offer room service, and when I called the front desk to ask about this, they stated that room service was not available and then hung up on me. I believe I paid too much money to be hung up on by the front desk. more

I stayed for one night at the Courtyard and had a pleasant stay. The room was standard, if slightly small. Parking was quite expensive (13$ with taxes) but is limited in the area so this may be typical. The upside is that the hotel allowed me to keep my car in their lot even after checkout while I interviewed at... more

A very short walk to Yale, this is a decent, but not great hotel. Staff was very friendly, room was ship-shape, but there seemed to be a need for greater soundproofing. I set a wake up call for early and could then hear a neighbor snoring! Not loudly, but still.... There aren't many decent places to stay in walking distance... more
