I have stayed at this hotel three or four times during my niece's college years. I have always been astonished by the mediocrity here, but returned for the convenience. During this graduation weekend when rates here are $489 night plus plus plus (plus parking too) the mediocrity is really bothering me. Layout and size of room are fine though bathroom... More

I stayed here, with friends, for two nights when we were visiting New Haven for a wedding. The hotel is functional, clean and well located for the centre of town. It is a 30-minute walk from the train station. Alternatively you can take a taxi for around 10 dollars. The bed is big and very comfortable. I didn't use the... More

Stayed at this hotel for business. Lobby was clean, Starbucks in the lobby, no other restaurants in or near hotel. For a Marriott chain I would expect more of the hotel. It is located in the city of New Haven. Off the busy main roads.

I stayed here recently on a trip to Yale. The hotel room was clean and relatively spacious and well laid-out, with a fridge near the door and a couch at the other end of the room. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was excellent. There is a microwave downstairs which is accessible for guests, which helps a lot... More

Nice hotel! Right aside Broadway, which means fantastic access to nice restaurants, shops, Yale .... what every New Haven has to offer (which by the way is not a lot). The hotel did not offer any breakfast as part of room booking, but had a coffee shop where one could buy a breakfast. But if you step out of the... More

I stay here every time I'm in New Haven. Always dependable. Clean, comfortable, big rooms. Very efficient and friendly check-in staff. Nicely re-done lobby with booth seating. Starbucks in lobby provides standard fare for breakfast.

We stayed here the weekend of April 11, 2015, and they had had both elevators break down, but one was up and running when we arrived. This meant a little longer wait to get to our 7th floor room and sometimes a packed elevator, but wasn't terribly inconvenient beyond that. Our room key became inactive twice and we needed to... It's frustrating when a hotel blindsides you at check-in with a $23 (including tax) parking charge that they failed to disclose during the reservation process (and that wasn't mentioned anywhere in the reservation confirmation), but doubling that charge to $46 and making me wait and the desk to get it fixed was really not ok. Good location but just not... More

The staff was very pleasant, but the housekeeper forgot to replenish the coffee maker supplies so we had to go to the front desk for cups, but it wasn't a big deal. Our room faced the street, so if noise bothers you, ask for a room on the back side away from Whalley St. There must be a hospital nearby... More

I was on the fourth floor. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable. I ate at the bar, and it was perfectly fine given that it was late and I was tired. Lobby had been updated in the new Courtyard style. Staff was very helpful, and ordered me a cab for early the next morning. Only advice I... More

Hello, Thank you for providing feedback regarding your most recent stay with us. Unfortunately, road noise is something that is beyond our control, as we are located downtown on the Yale campus. We have taken the steps to ensure our rooms are well insulated, resulting in minimal impact from the noise of the city. We are delighted to know that... More
