Welcoming hosts greeted us for our 2 day stay in New Haven with nice conversation, yummy breakfasts and comfortable room. We had never stopped in New Haven and wanted to visit the Yale Museums which are quite close to the B&B (Art, British and Peabody [ with it's fantastic collection of birds]). We had delicious lunches at the 2 bookstores... More

Our one night anniversary getaway was spent at A Touch of Ireland during the first weekend in November. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. This B & B, being just minutes from Yale, downtown New Haven, Wooster Street, the Ei Whitney Museum, and the Peabody Museum, was ideally situated for our afternoon and evening excursions. The guesthouse was... More

This B & B is quite charming, and its proprietors even more so. It was like going to Grandma's quaint home for a visit. We were so well taken care of! Michael offered us Irish liqueur in the evening, and Jeannine fed us---oh, so well---in the morning. I would highly recommend this wee bit of Ireland in Connecticut.

We visited A Touch of Ireland in New Haven during our tour of the eastern side of the USA in September 2012. The hosts were warm and welcoming, willing to chat and give advice on places to visit and eat locally. The hostess/owner willingly moved us to another room when we arrived as soon as she realized we had requested... More

We stayed in New Haven for a couple of days. The innkeeper was hospitable. The breakfasts were excellent. The bed was comfortable. TripAdvisor steered us in the right direction again! There were a lot of comments about how difficult the driveway is. We have a BMW (really low to the ground) and yes, we had to carefully enter/ exit the... More

We were in New Haven for one night for a friend's birthday party and needed a place to stay. This was the cheapest, closest option. The innkeeper was very nice and cooked us a tasty breakfast in the morning. The room was pretty and comfortable and the detached private bathroom was quite nice (and getting to and from it was... Wreaths, berries, bows and the warmth and charm of New England welcomed us to the McCann's home. It was our first time here, not , our last. Our purpose was to travel into NYC on the metro north for a day trip. The exorbitant prices of NYC hotels encouraged this alternative plan. It worked perfectly. Train travel from Union Station... Four of us stayed at Touch of Ireland for two nights. The location is quite convenient for downtown New Haven, so if you are not afraid of walking or taking the bus, there is no need to move the car (a bonus as the driveway is a bit of a challenge). Jeannine was a wonderful host: The breakfasts were delicious... More

What a wonderful place to stay! This was our first experience with a bed and breakfast, and it was just delightful. The rooms were very charming and comfortable. And at night, with the windows open, we could hear a chorus of crickets all night long. Loved it! Breakfast, which consisted of apple waffles and cinnamon bread, was delicious. To me... More

We arrived the day before Hurricane Irene was supposed to hit and had to cut our stay short. Jeanine was very friendly and accomodating. The location is very good for visiting Yale and the house is cozy and comfortable.
