From website, I had expected the Austin Street Inn to be a gracious historic New England gem in a picturesque area. This was not the case. In fact, when I arrived, I had to check the address to make sure I was in the right place. The Inn is in right the middle of a rather run down urban neighborhood.... More

We stayed 3 nights while in New Haven for our son's graduation from Yale. There were some positives and negatives with the Austin Street Inn. First, the positives. This is an older house that has been remodeled. It is clean and quiet. Our room was spacious, the bathroom well done, and the bed was excellent. Note there are no televisions... More

We enjoyed a great stay in that guesthouse with its extremely comfortable rooms and the nice public area in the basement which can be used by all guests. Rebecca prepared a great breakfast and gave us lots of helpful tips regarding the city. Don´t worry about the distance from downtown - it is absolutely worth it and incomparable to all... More
