I recently stayed at this hotel with my daughter while attending a college visit at Yale. It is in a perfect location within the campus right across the street from the Yale School of Art. The rooms are very cool looking with a contemporary feel. If you are visiting Yale this a great hotel choice with easy walking to the... More

Having stayed at many hotels in America and around the World I continue to find the Study to be of the highest quality. From the moment you arrive the doormen followed by the check in staff are first class. Robert who is on the front desk is immaculate, helpful, polite, knowledgeable and highly professional. Karen who oversees the smooth running... More

We had a great time at the Study. It feels like being on a vacation. The breakfast was beautiful, the dining area is so lovely and our room was gorgeous. We especially enjoyed meeting other guests who treated us like part of a club. Overall we had a great time.

My wife and I recently attended a function at the hotel. It was the New Haven Reads. As I arrived I was greeted by the Dir. of Sales and the GM. Not knowing where the function was they showed me the direction. The event was very nice and everyone was extremely nice and helpful. The food was outstanding. Thank you... More

I stayed one night with my family and it was wonderful! Staff is great and the room is clean and comfortable! This is the best one in New Haven!!! Location is the best... Near everything! It was -15°C and being around Yale and restaurants made everything easier. It worths!!!

This January my husband and I visited our son in New Haven and spent one night at another hotel in the area. While our first night there wasn't a total disaster, it was uncomfortable enough for us to switch to another hotel. Enter the Study. We originally thought it was out of our price range when we looked online, but... More

We had a nice but short stay at this hotel and the convenience for Yale can't be beat. It's clean and modern and, although small, the room had nice bedding and a high end bathroom. The service at the front desk was excellent and I liked the small lobby. We had a relaxing cocktail hour with snacks in the restaurant.... More

This review is long overdue. I've stayed at the Study many times over the last four years. Having sampled just about all of the hotels in New Haven, this is probably the best. Mind you, that's not saying much. In my experience it's generally clean, and it's on the Yale campus. The rooms are small, even if you book the... More

A nice enough place, but nothing special. Room was small, particularly the bathroom. Wi-fi service was very poor reception. Leather chair in the room was very stained. Heirloom Restaurant in the hotel is terrific and we had a great meal there. Hallways were not cleared of trash or room service leftovers very quickly. This weekend had a lot of young... More

There is no clearer demonstration of the revival of downtown New Haven than The Study. It is a superb small hotel in all respects - architecture and design, service, food, and convenience for Yale events. A room with a "campus view" it is well worth the extra charge - if you are planning to spend any time in your room... More
