Because of all the negative reviews I really did not want to stay here. However, we enjoyed our trip. The grounds and views very quite pretty, All of the hotel and restaurant employees were nice and we felt the service was very good. Our room in the East Wing was somewhat small, but nicely decorated and comfortable, with a flat... more

We stayed this past weekend as part of a wedding and I do not recommend for other travelers. Other than the great location there is nothing more positive I can say about the Inn. For $200 a night we got a VERY outdated room with a terribly uncomfortable bed. We were in the "main house" near the tennis courts and... more

The on-line video was very misleading. The buffett breakfast was meager. They only had one old toaster that took forever. They ran out of the only two hot dishes at 8:30 a.m. It was had to get a refill on coffee. Would have been better if they had a self-serve urn. The rooms were very small, and the room my... more

We stayed at the Inn at Mystic last night for a wedding. The wedding at the mansion was gorgeous and an amazing experience but....our stay at the Inn was not great. The room was ok but right from the start we had issues. We couldn't get into our room until 3(and we arrived at 1:30) even though the entire place... more

My room was old and musty. The A/C didn't work and made the stuffy musty room even worse. We paid over $200 a night for a very low end motel. The website is very misleading. The breakfast wasn't very good and the wait staff were not friendly. Hampton Inn does a better breakfast at half the price! The Inn at... more

The Inn reminds me of a grand dame, a bit past its prime. The furniture was ancient. One upholstered chair had a spring coming out of it. The bathrooms were mid century Formica. The buildings needed a coat of paint. My kids decided against swimming in the pool because it was so dirty. The gutters were falling down (really). On... more

I don't know about the rest of the hotel, but we stayed in the lower half of motel and we paid a hefty rate ($250) for one night. Wow. A dark, mildewy room with no advertised wi-fi was way too much to pay. Don't trust their website, 'cause they don't show pictures of the motel rooms. Stay at the Hilton... more

Assumed from website that we would be staying in featured building not in motel type accomodation. On check in asked if our two rooms could be near each other not opposite sides of complex. Told no by disinterested male receptionist as fully booked. First two nights only 10% occupancy. Was not told on booking no restaurant till May 15th. Rooms... more

If you have experienced really nice bed and breakfasts, you will be disappointed. There is no lavish breakfast like you would expect. It's a very basic continental breakfast and I'm sorry to say that the food looked and tasted like it was bought in bulk at the supermarket. I've had better free breakfasts at hotel chains. The room we stayed... more

We went to Mystic for a ladies weekend. The Inn did not disappoint us at all...we were a little worried because of the horrible reviews. But, they were wrong. The staff was very friendly. The breakfast buffet was terrific. Make sure you try the homemade sticky buns! Jody (the owner) and her two furry four legged companions made us feel... more
