I stayed here several times in 1999 and 2000. They renovated, added rooms, and I came back this year (2012). It was awful. There were more rooms, but the beds are the most uncomfortable beds I've ever experienced. By the way, I've stayed in thousands of hotels in over 470 cities worldwide. The inn used to have a quaint breakfast... More

I'd like to first apologize for any miscommunication there may have been between you and the front desk and management team. As you can see from past reviews, our staff is regarded as being exceptional. We hold ourselves to a very high standard of customer service. If you would please email or call the inn so that we may identify... More

the staff were friendly enough but the rooms were not very good. i dont know what detergent they use there but it made me itch as soon as i got into the bed. There are a few good restraunts near by that are worth going to but all in all i would not bother going back

We stay at the Whalers Inn whenever we visit Mystic. And as usual the staff was friendly, the rooms are clean, spacious, and relaxing. Our room overlooked the town and the river. Overlooking the Mystic Bridge, so when the bridge was drawn we could see the passing boats. This area is just great. We love that it is walking distance... More

My husband and I needed a place to stay where we didn't have to worry about driving around all evening. This was a great choice as it's very centrally located. We weren't blown away by the room (small, kind of dated), but overall, this is a good place to stay if you want to be in the heart of it... More

We just spent two nights in room 51. It was clean...but the room was very dated and smelled a bit musty. The bed and pillows were uncomfortably hard. The breakfast buffet was ok. Overall this is an average hotel that because of it's location in town, charged higher rates than elsewhere. Just because they charge a lot for their room... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at this hotel over memorial day weekend. The location of this hotel is hard to beat. I think there are only 2 hotels in downtown mystic and this is one of them.all the others are off the beaten path. The hotel is very quaint. Nothing very fancy but cute. Apparently all the rooms are very... More

(This review is for the main building's rooms). Our room was small, but in a cozy sort of way. We enjoyed it very much. While nothing at the Inn was above average, everything was quaint and simple and enjoyable, from the wallpaper to the mini-yogurts at breakfast. We enjoyed our stay very much, and because we were looking for something... More

Stayed here over Memorial Day weekend. The location is perfect with free parking. You are within walking distance to many attractions and restaurants. We ate at Bravo Bravo attached to the Inn and it was excellent! The Inn itself has different sections. We stayed in the older section with a less expensive room. The room itself was old, but clean.... More

Loved this place. The only reason for not giving a perfect score was due to the fact that the size of the bathroom was very tiny. We did not have any issues but if a larger person was assigned this room, they would have difficulty with the facilities. Would recommend asking about the size when making a reservation. Even with... After reading TripAdvisor reviews for Mystic hotels, I decided to try the Whaler's Inn for a 3-night solo vacation. The location is hard to beat - it's right downtown, within an easy stroll to many restaurants and shops (and a 15-minute walk to Mystic Seaport). There's free parking in the courtyard, which is a big plus in a busy tourist... More
