What a delightful inn! We stayed in room 17 in the Stonington Section--the room appeared to have been newly remodeled and was very nice indeed. The bed, linens, towels, furniture, bath fixtures, it all looked new and was well done. And the location couldn't be beat, so near the drawbridge and river, all the quaint downtown shops and restaurants. All... More

We recently spent one night at the Whaler's Inn in Mystic and enjoyed our time. There are a few different buildings, some more modern, some closer to the street, some part of the original inn. Our room was a decent size, with two queen beds, with a clean modern bathroom and tiny shower. Beds were comfortable and room had a... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the Inn. With our location in the heart of downtown, there may sometimes be some noise in the area. However, we do our best to honor the requests of our guests that may be a little bit more sensitive to noise. Always feel welcome to ask for a room facing the back... More

My wife and I had to deliver a bunch of parts to Rhode Island for the 1964 Chrysler she is having restored, so we decided to spend the night in Mystic, and found this hotel through Trip Advisor. What a little gem it is - lovely, well situated right next to the Mystic River bridge and convenient to shopping, restaurants,... More

Thank you for taking the time to review the Inn. We are so happy that you found the downtown area. There are far too many people who come off the interstate and do not venture far enough to find our Historic Downtown. We hope that your delivery went smoothly and look forward to seeing you during your next trip to... More

We stayed in the main inn on the 3rd floor. The room was a good size, nice chairs, very cute, everything was very clean and in order. Could hear people next door coughing, but otherwise quiet. Front desk staff were super friendly. Breakfast was very crowded (but it was a holiday weekend) and typical hotel breakfast buffet options. The best... More

We were so glad to hear that you enjoyed your time with us. While the breakfast room does get a bit crowded during holidays, always feel free to enjoy your morning in the Adirondack chairs outside, relaxing in the lobby, or make it a breakfast in bed and cozy up in your guestroom! Our ideal location is perfect for walking... More

We stayed at the Hoxie House for two nights and the room was beautiful. It looked like it had been recently renovated with the biggest bathroom I've ever seen, a fireplace in the bedroom and a view of the Mystic River. The hotel itself had a very boutique-y feel. They offered complimentary breakfast from 7-10am which did the trick with... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review! We were glad to hear that you enjoyed your time in the Deluxe Guestroom. Keep in mind that we do have some lovely guestrooms on the back of the property as well if you'd enjoy a quieter room off of the Downtown area during your next stay. We hope to... More

This was our first at this Inn. Not dissapointed, nice rooms, very clean, good for multiple nights, great location, downtown Mystic, price was very reasonable, 2 night minimum, has it own restaurant which we do not use, continental breakfast included with cost of room. The only con was the queen size bed was too soft. Would highly recomment to friends... More

As others have said, the Inn is in the perfect location. The only other place that seems ideal is Steamboat Inn. The Inn itself is quaint and older, but they have updated most of the important things: new, stylish bed sheets, flat screen Tv, updated picture... The only thing that really needs to be updated is the actual key entry,... More

We have stayed in Mystic before so this was just a transit stop between JFK and Martha's Vineyard. It worked very well. We picked it due to proximity to S&P Oysters which is a brilliant venue for a dinner - particularly when the sun shines as it did for us. The hotel is slightly tired. The room is furnished traditionally... More

First of all, the location is ideal. Right at the heart of the downtown village, near the best restaurants and easy walking distance to the Seaport. The staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms clean and comfortable. Who could ask for more?

Overall, the Whaler's Inn was a decent place to stay. The receptionist was friendly and helpful. My wife and I took a room in the Hoxie House, third floor corner.
