We stayed here for one night and wanted something in the heart of Mystic. This location was perfect. It is a lovely historic building. The room was pretty and clean. The bathroom appears to be updated but the shower is tiny. The front desk employees were very nice and helpful. We were able to walk the town and to restaurants.... More

We just got back from a week long trip to the East Coast....we like to take off without reservations and find places as we go. We found Whalers Inn on our first trip around 10 years ago and this trip was our third stay with them..Has always been very clean and reasonably priced considering it is right in the middle... More

We spent one night and loved it. We arrived very late, around 1:00 AM. We pulled in and saw the glow of one light and it was coming from our room that was waiting for us. The beds were soft and comfy and the bathroom was beautifully done in a grey weathered "wood" floor and white tile. It wasn't until... More

The good parts: clean room, very good nice hotel restaurant, willing to take kids, adequate breakfast included, pleasant staff, and good location in town so that you can walk to shopping and restaurants. The not-so-good parts: room is small for a family of 4, beds are not comfortable, and there is not that much going on in this sleepy New... More

The location is perfect with everything in walking distance. The room is very nice with upgraded towels and linens. The employees were very nice and very helpful. Some of the rooms have sit out balconies which looked nice. Take note, the third floor is via the stairs which can be cumbersome for some travelers. The continental breakfast was way more... More

It's an inn that costs as much as the Hiltons of sorts cost in the area, so I guess I was expecting it to be less shabby and for the AC to work better. We are in the year 2014 people, it's about time people who own hotels realize that a properly working, noise free AC is not a feature... More

Thank you for taking the time to leave us review. We appreciate the 4 star rating! Yes, we do try to stay competitive in pricing with the other larger chain hotels in the area. Our location definitely sets us apart. I apologize for the “noisy” air conditioner. Due to the age of Main Inn and 1865 House, window units are... More

We spent two days at this lovely hotel and it was delightful. Our room had recently been updated, and it was really very nice. There are some definite pluses to this hotel aside from it's friendly staff and complimentary breakfast, which is quite sufficient. It is located close to just about everything in Mystic. The only attraction we actually drove... More

Husband I ended up here as a "bonus night" at the end of a business trip. We knew we wanted to be within walking distance of, well, to be honest, drinks. It had been a long week and a little bit of almost irresponsible imbibing was on the agenda. We know Mystic pretty well because he has a contract in... More

What a pleasure it was to read your review. We are so glad we could be your “bonus night” and help you recharge before your return home. Our location is really perfect for walking about town and enjoying the evening out without having to get in your car and drive. We do consider ourselves an Inn. However, we have the... More

This is a clean nice place with outside access to rooms. We stayed in the row of rooms separate from the main building. We arrived late at night so we slept through the morning breakfast, so I cannot comment on the quality of that. But it was very quiet overnight and even in the morning and the staff were all... More
