We stayed for one night while attending an event at the casino. The Inn is walking distance to the shops and restaurants in downtown. We stayed in the main building which was cozy. The Breakfast room has lots of windows and a good selection of items. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

We stayed here for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect.... within strolling distance to shops & restaurants. There is also free parking which is great. Staff were friendly and helpful on arrival. We stayed in the 1865 building. Our room was at the top of some steep stairs but we were ok with that. Website... More

I appreciate you taking the time to write such a lovely review. Our 1865 House, while having it's historic quirks, is one of the prides of our property and it is such a pleasure to hear that you enjoyed your stay. I am also pleased to hear that you ventured to the USS Nautilus, this is a hidden gem in... More

The Whalers Inn is in the center of mystic seaport, just a short wlk to the mystic bridge and all the restaurants and shops in mystic. This hotel is quite old and has the charm of an older place with history. The parking is quite ample. The problem with the main hotel is there is no elevator and the stairs are steep and old.If... I loved everything about this Inn. The location is right in the center of town, yet the rooms are quiet. The Inn has a historic, authentic feel and yet is very comfortable and has the usual modern amenities. Each room is different, so I can only speak to my own...but mine was gorgeous! The staff was helpful, and there is... More

This hotel is historic and beautiful. The rooms are rustic (in a good way) and very quaint. The hotel is located directly on the main street of a classic New England town. It's absolutely beautiful. The hotel is walking distance to shopping, dining and everything else.

Great location right next to the drawbridge. Within walking distance to the aquarium and seaport, shops and restaurants . Thin walls; I could hear someone in an adjacent bathroom at night. Carpet needed to be cleaned and/or replaced. Staff friendly. Not sure it was worth the $$; would try a B & B next time.

Thank you for taking a moment to review the Inn. Without knowing exactly what room you were in, I am unable to address specific concerns, but I can say that the Historic Main Inn will be undergoing renovations this winter – including carpet replacement. I know that may not take away from any of your concerns of your last stay,... More

Agree with other reviewers about the cleanliness and quirkiness. I don't believe there is a level floor or 90 degree angle anywhere in the hotel. (I slept diagonally on the bed as the tilted floor extended to attitude of the bed, and made it feel as though one would roll out in the middle of the night). There were a... More

The Whalers has the sort of refined quality and quirkiness which comes with age, and it's obvious here. The location was ideal for nearby restaurants, bars, shops etc and a 10 minute walk from Seaport. After a long day on the road we asked for quiet rooms and got two at the back of the main building overlooking the car... More
