A beautiful historic hotel in the best location in town! The hotel was exceptionally clean, very highly maintained and right next to the historic drawbridge and the beautiful Mystic river. My family and I stayed one night here on the way from Cape Cod to New York and we were very glad we did. The staff were very welcoming and... More

The location is perfect, walking distance from good restaurants and shopping, and a short drive from the historical seaport. The service was excellent. The staff accommodated my family from a step stool to help my mom up on the tall beds to calling the laundry when we thought my daughter's bear was lost in the sheets. There were bicycles to... More

My husband and I chose the Whalers Inn in Mystic because of it's location. We wanted to be able to park our car, see the local shops and attractions that are located in Mystic, and enjoy the local restaurants. The Whalers Inn met all these requirements. The cost was more than the local motels but the convenience was worth the extra... More

My husband and I stayed here the night of our wedding and the following evening as well. The staff was very nice and helped us get tickets to go to the Seaport on Monday. Our room was clean and we had an amazing view of downtown and the water from our room. We enjoyed being able to talk a walk... More

I couldn't imagine a better location in Mystic to stay. Literally on Main Street, just steps from the water, shops, restaurants (including Mystic Pizza) and the Seaport Museum. The Aquarium and shops at Olde Mystic are an easy 5 minute drive away. The staff was friendly and helpful, The buffet continental breakfast was quite generous. There is ample parking on... More

Last minute we decided to spend a night in Mystic on our way to party in CT on Saturday. We got a room at the The Whalers Inn and were in love. Great spot in town, walk to all. They even sell Alex & Ani's in the same building. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Staff was friendly and... More

We originally booked for two nights, but added a night as we enjoyed this very friendly place so much. We were in a cozy queen room which was amply large even if it was listed as small. The staff couldn't have done more to make our stay comfortable and were so friendly. Breakfast was included and was a good selection... More

Right in town, walk to all the shops. Staff is very, very friendly and helpful. Plenty of off street parking available. Definitely a little dated but that's part of the experience of this older property. The toilet was a bit tough to flush and the shower was kind of small, at least in the Queen we stayed in. In my... We stayed in a "cosy queen", despite it was the cheapest room, it was quite large and comfortable. The building is old and characteristic, do not expect modern furniture or services, but a cosy lobby is available and the breakfast is good. Not cheap overall, but it is worth the rate, considering the location.

First time to Mystic and the Whaler’s Inn and we would definitely recommend it and stay again when we are in the area. Great location with a quick walk over the bridge to many of the area shops and restaurants (do try their restaurant Bravo Bravo – see separate review) and a short drive to the Seaport museum, aquarium and...
