Our annual visits have been the thing that we look forward to the most during the year, We started when the kids were young and now are closing in on our 60's. Love the Inn, the workers and the town. Mystic has some great restaurants in town and the surrounding towns--Abbott's, Daniel Packer Inn, Noah's and Stonington is a beautful... More

Located on Mystic River next to a drawbridge that serves as a major attraction, the inn sits among a number of restaurants, shops and area attractions. Potentially, visitors could park their car in the commodious lot and drive it again only after check-out. Actually fairly large, the property incongruously gets described on this site as "cute and quaint". The "quaint"... More

Stayed here after a concert at Foxwoods( for all you old timers it was Donnie and Marie). Foxwoods is about 20 minutes away by car. This hotel is cute and quaint, and centrally located in Mystic, within easy walking distance of many shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly and the breakfast had good variety and was plentiful. The room was clean as well. My only complaint was that the furnace/water pipe in the room was very noisy and kept me from getting much sleep.

The best thing about the Whaler's Inn in Mystic is always going to be the location. I worked here as a kid - and I am VERY pleased to say it has been updated and is just great. We were really pleased with the reception at the front desk. The beds in the Stonington House were very comfortable and the... More

We wanted to spend a weekend in Mystic, having passed by the exit on I-95 for Mystic many times. WE chose the Whalers Inn based on Tripadvisor reviews - we chose well! The facility is located in the center of town, steps away from the Mystic River, the cantilever bridge, the shopping area in town, Mystic Pizza, great restaurants, almost... More

Really feels like a true "Inn". Everything was exceptional, from the front desk staff to the maid service. The Inn is centrally located a short drive, or if you are more ambitious, walk from everything. I say ambitious because it's a bit more of a walk to the aquarium than many would be comfortable with. We basically parked the car... More

We took advantage of the Holiday Lantern Tour package at the Inn, and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The hotel is wonderful; great location, friendly staff and cozy accommodations. Looking forward to enjoying another weekend with them!

Thinking that this was a groupon special and this was a non-chain hotel I didn't have high expectations but was pleasantly at the B&B-like feel, awesome location to downtown Mystic and clean accommodations. Breakfast was better than your average continental. Only knock would be the small bathroom sink and overly soft mattress but otherwise we would definitely return again on... More

Stay here and walk to everything. Resturaunts and bars and museums. Make sure you pick which house you want to stay in. They have four different ones each with different kinda rooms. Staff wonderful! Great breakfast. Very helpful people up front.
