This place is great for learning snowsports but, not much else. You can skate down the steepest part of the hill. If I were a passholder, I'd buy one at any other CT hill next year as they did a terrible job of opening terrain. Mohawk and Sundown can be fully open in about 3 days of snowmaking. Powder Ridge... This is a modest, family oriented ski area with focus on beginner skiers. The resort has a mandatory requirement on wearing helmets for all skiers regardless of age. They can be rented ($11) at the mountain if you don't have one. Be aware the wait for helmets can eat into your ski day, so plan accordingly. The terrain was OK... More

The lodge is open! So, here's the scoop...only open two years after being silent for 8. Now part of Brownstone Adventure Park. Perfect? No. Yes, it's disorganized, the buildings are not state of the art and the only bathrooms are in the lodge. BUT...if you have kids, this is a GREAT place to be. Small with an excellent training park.... More

We went last year shortly after it reopened and the place was utter chaos. Organization was definitely lacking, but we cut them some slack as we thought they were working out the kinks. We wanted to give them another chance this year and absolutely wish we didn't. The place has so much potential, but the mismanagement is evident. We attempted... More

Years ago, I liked this place best of the CT places, I cannot find out if it is even open on their website. Nobody answered the operator's phone. Their website claims no lifts are open but another site claims 4/6 are open. I think with their terrible reopening last year that they would have straightened out some of the basic... More

Horrible horrible horrible!! Bought the kids gift certificates at Christmas time to go tubing. Tried four times to go and each time they were closed. Finally in March called on a sat and was told they would be open on Sunday but to call first. Started to call first thing Sunday morning and no answer. Tried about 10 more times... More

This place has a lot of potential, but the main lodge is not open yet. Which means: 1) Bathrooms are basically a glorified port-a-potty with very tight spaces 2) no place to sit and rest in between skiing (or when you are like us and have one small child who needs more breaks) 3) Very crowded as a result The... Let me start off the review stating that I am glad that Powder Ridge is back open...But they are so disorganized that I hope they can maintain. I called and signed my son up for the half day program. The woman on the phone misunderstood that my husband and I wanted the 8 hour pass and that we could just... More

I was planing to go to Powder Ridge for tubing today with my sister and cousin. Three of us looked on your website for tubing information. We saw the prices and decided to go since the prices were very reasonable, It took us 45 minutes or so to get to the park. Once we found the ticket office we were... More
