Busy local pub serving great pub food-huge portions. Well cooked well priced. Friendly pub and staff. Really busy with locals & tourists!! Great menu. Usual fayre & dishes of the day. Children catered for too. In fact something for everyone !! We had steak. Yummy & local!! We will be back.

Great atmosphere in this Inn. Huge selection on the menu and really good sized portions at reasonable prices. Food was wonderfully hot! There is accommodation here but we only called in for lunch so cannot comment on this. Very pretty village with lots of history which is shown by the photos on the walls. Very friendly bar staff and dogs... More

We stayed at the Bell for a weekend along with 4 friends, this amazing pub has 3 letting rooms at very reasonable prices. As you would expect from an old building you don't get ultra modern facilities but the rooms are spotless, the shower cubicle albeit quite small was very powerful, the view from our bedroom was absolutely awesome, downstairs... Lovely pub with excellent, reasonably priced food and very friendly service. Tranquil surroundings with inside and outside tables and interesting countryside views. Great base for walkers with plenty of parking in the quaint village square opposite.

I have been to The Bell on about 4 occasions. The has always been of good quality. The only problem I have had is that the service can be a little slow but the food is worth waiting for. It has good menu choice also using a lot of local produce.

We visited the Bell inn for a meal & a drink and it must rate as one of the best pub for its menu, friendly staff and atmosphere. If you are looking for a great local inn this must be it especially if you support Arsenal.

If you are looking for a real country pub, with excellent beers, fine unpretentious food in North Devon, look no further than the Bell. The Landlord and staff always make you welcome, and treat you like a regular.
