We enjoy brief weekend getaways and enjoy exploring the Connecticut River Valley area. We selected this Residence Inn from the photos on Marriott.com, it's convenient location off of the Merritt Parkway, proximity to Middletown, the attractive French doors in each suite, the large room layout, the complimentary breakfast and the Marriott Rewards Pointsaver deal. After a pleasant and uneventful drive... more

The only reason I and my family (wife and three adult children) stayed at this hotel was that our usual Christmas Eve ‘stay-in-Connecticut" hotel was fully booked. I should have reserved rooms at the other hotel (the much, much nicer Courtyard in Cromwell) earlier, but I did not remember to do so until it was too late. That was unfortunate... more

Just across the board, breakfast was a mess every morning, they were consistently short on towels, blankets, pillows. And housekeeping... didn't take towels to be cleaned, didn't get to some of the rooms until after dinner, and often didn't replace the toilet paper. The staff was extremely nice, but all around, the hotel misses the mark. There were complaints of... more

As there were 3 married couples coming from overseas on a driving vacation, we booked this hotel on the net and then called them to confirm it would actually sleep 6 adults. we were assured that the 2 bdrm suite had a double foldout bed and it would accomodate us. When we arrived, we found that the foldout was in... more

I booked two rooms in this hotel for a wedding in August the first room was for my family and the second room was for my niece and her family. I was very disappointed when I arrrived at the hotel to find it... more

We booked a 2 night stay (8/07) for our family at this hotel for 3 main reasons… 1. Heated Outdoor Pool for the kids. 2. We have had great experiences at Marriott Residence Inns. 3. Kitchen facilities to better accommodate our 3 children with meals. PROS: Staff was very courteous and helpful in every way. The weekend buffet breakfast was... more

We went to wedding in CT last October. There were 5 of us and we didn’t see a need to pay for two separate rooms. This was one of the only hotels in the area that would accommodate all of us in one room/suite. Really, I can’t complain. The suite we stayed in had one really bedroom with a bathroom.... more

This hotel pulls out all the stops to make sure that we are comfortable. I arrived on business in October, and I'm still here in December. I couldn't have found a better home-away-from-home. The hotel has a great staff, and an amazing breakfast buffet every morning, including make-your-own waffles! They have a light meal in the evenings M-Th. They'll even... more
