My husband and I took my father to Foxwoods yesterday. We stayed at the Grand Pequot Towers the last three times that we visited, but I thought it might be nice to try the Great Cedar this time. The lobby was pretty with deep green and gold colors as well as a massive fountain off to the left near the... More

My husband and I went to see Seinfeld. We reserved a King bed room for two nights and requested a wheelchair accessible room. I use a wheelchair and cannot stand. I was told that an accessible room couldn't be guaranteed. That was the first problem. I cannot use an inaccessible room. When I arrived, I did get an accessible room... More

After reading some negative reviews, I was pleasantly surprised when I stayed at this hotel on July 18th and 19th. We stayed in a King room on the 5th floor. It was clean, comfortable, and roomy. There was a mini frig with complimentary water bottles which was a plus. The maids were accommodating when we asked for extra towels and... More

This was the first hotel built for the Foxwoods Casino. It shows. The common spaces are worn and shabby. I was here for a conference. The front desk could not get my prepaid reservation correct for 24 hours and then placed a 72 hour hold on my personal debit. I found the front desk staff was unknowledgeable and even less... More

We go to Foxwoods twice a year and normally stay at the old MGM. One year ago we tried the Great Cedar. We had a dirty room with a view of a roof. We contacted the front desk that basically didn't seem to care. The manager we talked to was great and solved things. So this year we decided to... More

This is the original hotel built with the Foxwoods Resort 20 years ago and is still a top notch place to stay. Rooms are spacious, comfortable, quiet, and has all the amenities you need for a great overnight stay.

Maybe I was expecting too much since I normally stay at the Grand Pequot but the only rooms available were in the Great Cedars. I had booked a stayed in a king suite. The room was nice on the first glance but noticed little things that just added up to too much to make it feel very dirty. The 1/2... More

We usually stay at Grand Pequot, but unfortunately the only comp rooms available were at Great Cedar. I have read very bad reviews on here about it, but honestly I really cannot find major faults with this hotel. The bed was extremely comfy. We stayed on the fourth floor (the smoking floor by choice). We stayed in room 452 right... More

We have stayed at the casino before. However this is the first time we stayed in the Grand Cedars. We normally stay in the hotel formally known as the MGM Grand. However, the walk from the MGM always feels like an eternity. So we decided to try the Great Cedars. For those of you that don't know the Great Cedars... More

Spent the night on February 26th to celebrate my husbands b.d.Bad enough all of the comp rooms were taken(as they said)we ended up paying $94.29 for a miserable night.Put us on the 6th floor facing the bus area. All night long could hear buses coming and going besides the trucks making deliveries. It seemed as if all night long all we could...
