Was able to get a room at the otherwise sold out hotel. I understand that two weddings were scheduled. Since this Inn is the only hotel in town, I took the room even though the price was high ($260 for a queen). Overall the venue is very nice, looks like an old colonial house and the spiral staircase in the... More

The Litchfield Inn is off the road and the rooms are at the back of the inn, so it is nice and quiet. The room was great. Large bed, couch, TV, wifi, refridge, desk and coffee pot in the room. When you walk into the room you find chocolate chip cookies wrapped up on the bed. We went for our... More

We needed a place to visit with family between Connecticut and Vermont, travelling with our dogs, and the Litchfield Inn was a big success. Helpful and friendly staff, a nice big property for walking, and a 1600 acre conservation area on Bantam Lake 3 minutes away. Dinner at the Bantam Bistro (see separate review) was very good and excellent value.... More

Got a last minute deal on this hotel so was extremely pleased considering the price we paid. The room had 2 queen beds which were comfortable. The room was nicely appointed and clean. Good quality soap and shampoo and the wifi worked well. The only disappointment was the breakfast, It was nice they provide scrambled egg and sausage and bacon... More

After a long day of driving we found the Litchfield Inn 1½ miles out of town. From the outside it was beautiful and it was even nicer inside. We checked into a luxurious, beautifully furnished room with 2 queen beds with home baked cookies as a welcome gift. The breakfast was great with a nicer than usual selection of cereals,... More

The Inn is ordinary and very much operated for profit, not service. It will cancel your confirmed reservation if it has a better deal coming in. Here's a direct experience: I was one of a family group coming to Litchfield for a memorial service. Our reservations were make 5-6 weeks in advance. Even when the Inn was informed that the... More

Dear Guest, We are sorry to hear your experience which was not very pleasant on your recent stay. Your review seems to be misguiding the mass because we did have all your reservations in the system and the multiple changes which were made by your friends/family members were not what you were expecting. Still we made all the efforts possible... More

Place looked great...on-line and from about 100 yards away. The closer we got...ouch. Shabby aluminum-sided exterior needed paint. Landscaping (what little there was) pitiful. Sloppy, unpaved dirt parking lot made no sense(particularly after it rained). The lobby was so so, with lots of stuff (and people) hanging around. Staff was friendly but the long walk(through the entire Inn) back to the... More

Dear Guest, Thanks for sharing your experience but we feel sorry that we lacked in a few areas. Having said so, a few of your issues does not really apply to the Inn as far as the structural feedbacks given by you. Our unpaved parking lot is a natural hurdle for not being able to provide a paved lot due... More

My husband and I pulled up to the inn on a Wednesday thinking we probably couldn't afford to stay here. We were given what we felt was a good rate for a two queen room. We weren't sure what to expect from the room but the lobby was nice and so we decided to stay. The room (101 (I think... More

My wife and I had previously stayed at the Litchfield Inn in 2012, so we had reasonable expectations. The challenges started when I made my reservation online. Their Web site would not accept Discover Card as a payment method, so I entered an American Express card. But when I checked in on Friday, I learned that Discover Card was a... More
