The place was clean, but the room was worn down. You can hear the heavy noise of the Train Tracks at night which could interrupt light sleepers. For all options in KENT this is probably one of the best.

I feel this review is going to be out of date shortly as the Fife 'n Drum does improvements on their building. The room we stayed in looked recently updated. It had a king bed along with a twin bed under the window. The bathroom looked recently renovated and was bright and airy. The one downside to the bathroom is... More

I am so sorry, I had no idea he had come that early on the night of your stay. They were not supposed to start until 8:30! I will certainly look into the shower spill off, I do not think that was the goal of the plumber, at least I hope not. On your return, we should be in good... More

Perfect place for us to rest after a day of skiing on nearby Mohawk Mountain. The carpark was frozen over which made getting to our room and our car a bit of a hair raising experience. Not sure what they can do about that anyway really. Breakfast down the street at The Villager diner was great and the perfect start... More

While the rooms were clean, they were very run down. I arrived late at night and entered Room #7 through 2 separate doors to find a window wide open with no screen. I checked my colleagues room, who had not yet arrived, to find the window wide open with no screen as well. The rooms hold run down decor/furnishings. For... More

The most complete accommodation right in town..a few steps from an award winning restaurant with an award winning wine spectator list plus a gift shop . Rooms are spacious and well appointed. very comfortable for a night or a weekend. The owner Elissa is very warm and welcoming

It is cute victotian style( all flower, pink comforters..) above the gift shop. It was about $180/night in January. But it was very dirty. Bathroom has mold and felt this should be about $50/night. They did not turn on heater when we arrived so it was soooo cold and even it was not warm enough when we went to bed... More

We paid for "upgraded" rooms. Carpet in the room had some truly filthy spots. Internet is so unbelievably slow its basically not worth having (videos will not load at all, pictures and news articles take minutes.) Beds were moderate but not ideal, shower was in poor condition and functioned badly. Rooms get very hot but the air conditioner is so... More

This inn and restaurant is in the center of Kent, CT, one of a very limited places to stay overnight. (the restaurant is far better than the accommodations.) the rooms are ok, but in need of sprucing up. Wallpaper is peeling, rugs are worn, bathrooms are clean but old - they all could use some updating.

Well, in leaf peeping season you expect to pay more for everything, so no surprise when that happens; yet...even so...one feels a bit bruised with Fife and Drum in Kent. Kent, itself may overcome all faults, but one has to be gracious to arrive here and leave with good feelings, particularly given the room charges which are those often made... More

Stayed at the Fife and Drum on Sunday night and found it to be immaculate...plenty of fresh clean white towels, fresh white sheets and down duvet covers on Beds in room 4 and room 1 which was pretty (blue and white toile) with a four poster bed. Our room had all we needed, cable tv, small fridge, coffee maker, iron,... More

Dear Patricia I am so glad Kent and the Fife 'n Drum Inn were perfect for your reunion with your nephew. What a journey he has been on, the stories must have been endless. We wish him safe travels for the last 700 miles, hopefully he can send us a picture for our collection when he reaches Mt Katahdin. Again,... More
