The most complete accommodation right in town..a few steps from an award winning restaurant with an award winning wine spectator list plus a gift shop . Rooms are spacious and well appointed. very comfortable for a night or a weekend. The owner Elissa is very warm and welcoming

It is cute victotian style( all flower, pink comforters..) above the gift shop. It was about $180/night in January. But it was very dirty. Bathroom has mold and felt this should be about $50/night. They did not turn on heater when we arrived so it was soooo cold and even it was not warm enough when we went to bed... More

We paid for "upgraded" rooms. Carpet in the room had some truly filthy spots. Internet is so unbelievably slow its basically not worth having (videos will not load at all, pictures and news articles take minutes.) Beds were moderate but not ideal, shower was in poor condition and functioned badly. Rooms get very hot but the air conditioner is so... More

This inn and restaurant is in the center of Kent, CT, one of a very limited places to stay overnight. (the restaurant is far better than the accommodations.) the rooms are ok, but in need of sprucing up. Wallpaper is peeling, rugs are worn, bathrooms are clean but old - they all could use some updating.

Well, in leaf peeping season you expect to pay more for everything, so no surprise when that happens; yet...even so...one feels a bit bruised with Fife and Drum in Kent. Kent, itself may overcome all faults, but one has to be gracious to arrive here and leave with good feelings, particularly given the room charges which are those often made... More

Stayed at the Fife and Drum on Sunday night and found it to be immaculate...plenty of fresh clean white towels, fresh white sheets and down duvet covers on Beds in room 4 and room 1 which was pretty (blue and white toile) with a four poster bed. Our room had all we needed, cable tv, small fridge, coffee maker, iron,... More

Dear Patricia I am so glad Kent and the Fife 'n Drum Inn were perfect for your reunion with your nephew. What a journey he has been on, the stories must have been endless. We wish him safe travels for the last 700 miles, hopefully he can send us a picture for our collection when he reaches Mt Katahdin. Again,... More

We love this place!! Stayed 2 times this summer. The rooms are comfortable Located right in town and the staff is friendly!!! Can't wait to return. Room 2 is my favorite. The restaurant is also good. Also close to skiing at Mohawk so we will be back in the winter

I too am surprised by some of the reviews because I have been to the Fife 'n Drum several times since 1973 when it opened. The rooms are clean and well stocked with towels and pillows. The restaurant is enjoyable and the staff is friendly, honest and helpful. I left an expensive sweater in my room accident and when I... More

I am quite surprised by the below reviews. I have stayed at the Fife'n Drum Inn for years -- and was in fact there just recently -- and have never had anything but a delightful experience. Staff are kind, rooms are clean and quaint, and the food at the restaurant is fantastic -- which are the reasons my husband and... More

This is an absolute hovel, I booked, got there, the room was musty, unhoovered and the bedsheets were from the night before, I turned on my heel and left - don't even think about staying here

Dear Yermononthemove As the General Manager of the Fife 'n Drum, I am very sorry to read that you had a terrible experience at our Inn. It is difficult to put almost 40 years of energy into a business only to have someone describe it online using a word like "hovel". I can tell you that after each guest stays,... More
