My wife and I stayed in Room 216 for one night. The room was pretty cool. It did not feel like you were staying in a hotel. It kinda felt like our own bedroom. Only concerns were mold on the shower head and one light was out over the sink. The man at the front desk was very nice and... More

Dinner was fabulous. Our room was lovely. We stayed in rooms 322 & 323 of Comstock House. We had NO complaints what-so-ever. A much-needed night away, 2 couples. Dinner was to die for. Room was cozy yet spacious and well-appointed. The only slight issue we had were the cheap vertical blinds on the door leading to the deck. They let... More

Stayed here for a weekend getaway. Really nice room, big, clean and comfortable. Very nice bar area. We had diner there one night and the food was very good. The inn is close to some outlets as well as the town of Essex, which had a nice shopping district, some good restaurants and the Connecticut River Museum where you can... More

I wanted a place close to Essex, Ct where I was taking the train/river boat combo the next morning. Ivoryton is just down the road a few miles. Dinner in their formal restaurant was delicious (and not so formal, just less crowded and less noisy than the pub option.) I had lamb shank with a glass of good Bordeaux wine.... More

My wife and I stayed here one night while visiting Essex, CT. We had a lovely room with a king bed and a very large bathroom. Our room also had a small terrace. We got a very good night's sleep. Included with our room was a gourmet breakfast where you could order off a menu. I would stay here again.

Just got married at the Copper Beech Inn and everything was perfect. Food was wonderful and staff were amazing, accommodating all of our needs and then some. The GM, Klemens, demonstrated the highest level of hospitality and was a pleasure to work with. We stayed in the main house in room 101(Copper Beech Suite) and it was a charming Inn... More

My wife and I hadn't been to the Copper Beech Inn in more than two decades, but decided to take in dinner prior to a show at the Ivoryton Playhouse. Dinner was out on the porch and it was as pleasant as it could be. Food was lovely, if not particularly challenging, the wine was nice and the service solid.... More

Strap in for a brutally honest review... This hotel (I cannot call it an inn), was disappointing on many levels. First of all, there was no innkeeper to greet us. I checked in at the front desk like a typical hotel. The girl at the front desk looked to be 16 years old. We were staying in the "carriage house"... More

We dined with Michaels brother and wife Pam... We sat at the bar. The place soon filled up fast! Great wine selection! Not a lot on tap! I had the mussels, Michael has the sweet potato gnocchi... It was amazing! Danny had the Pork tenderloin! Loved the lemon caper sauce! We will be back loved the atmosphere!

Beautiful place to stay, nice and quiet area and has a stunning restaurant also - we stayed here a week after staying in New York City and the restaurant at the copper beech inn was better than any restaurant we visited in New York! Peter the innkeeper who runs the show is a very nice guy who does a top... More
