If visiting Essex and surrounding area, this is a wonderfully quaint and historically charming Inn. The rooms are have been upgraded to reflect modern amenities without undermining old world character. And, the location is convenient for exploring this quintessential New England town. Breakfast is included along with free parking.

We were married here in April and there are so many good things to say about the whole experience. The staff was amazing; attentive, caring, friendly, and generous. The manager was professional, alert to our needs, and there when you needed him. The room (#1) was fantastic. Our friends and relatives all stayed at the Inn and they too loved... More

We were upgraded to the Comstock Building (Rooms in the 300s) due to a plumbing issue in the room we had originally booked. Our room was very spacious, and the added luxury of the deep jacuzzi tub was an unexpected bonus. We enjoyed the room very much. The Inn itself was very quiet, and we were not disturbed by other... The Inn is quite old and has such character. We stayed in the carriage house which was okay. The person in the next room could be heard practicing his guitar even with our door closed but it was quiet at night. Some of the wallpaper was coming off the wall but the room was very clean and comfortable. Each morning... More

Using the book"1,000 Places To See Before You Die", the famed Griswold Inn caught our eye. It was booked for a wedding the time we were planning on visiting so the gracious innkeeper recommended The Copper Beech Inn. It was a stone's throw to nearby Essex so we could easily do & see all of Essex from our lovely home... More

Eating in the suburbs is a hard course to navigate. Most often, you pay high city prices and get average food. We had a very nice dinner at the Copperbeach Inn. The staff was graceous and accommodating. The formal dining room is beautiful - it has a great old school vibe but it is updated and its always nice to... More

We went for a weekend to celebrate our birthday. We stayed in the Garden Room. The room was beautiful. We were there in the winter so the garden was covered in snow. I think it would be beautiful in the spring and summer. We had a private entrance. The bathroom was nice and big and the floor was heated. The... More

We took a guest visiting from another country (and very different culture) to dine in Copper Beech’s restaurant. We thoroughly enjoyed the warm and attractive atmosphere/grounds, the patient staff who were attentive but not hovering, and the amazing food and drink choices. The duck was very tender and flavorful, and the signature drinks were creative and delicious! A lovely and... More

By accident we found this gem in Iveryton CT, after a warm welcome we felt relaxed right away. We stayed in one of the Houses in a large room, 321, +- 40 m2. A size and plan which is really ok. Is was quite, no noise whatsoever since the house is quit a distance from the road. The deck was... More

My wife and I visited The Copper Beech Inn recently on a Saturday night to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We were greeted promptly and escorted right away to our table in the main dining room (thanks to an Open Table reservation). The staff was mature and experienced. The menu was very nice. We each had an appetizer (Duck Pate was... More
