I arrived there with the lowest expectations yet, since the reviews in here indicate the hotel would be smelly or in bad shape.
It was a different actual experience all around.
The guy running the front desk was friendly and accomodated my request to fix my mistake of having booked a smokers room.
The room itself was clean, there was no stench, other than that coming from old carpet and cleaning solutions, but you where not hit in the face with any "stench" people reported on here.
I stayed there for 3 days, and noticed that the hotel is rather noisy (thin walls) but this is mainly a problem caused by the ignorance of the guests it attracts. It's not the hotels fault, if trashy people scream and yell, including slamming doors.

The bathroom could use more attention during cleaning, the pillows could be a bit better but overall, not a bad experience.
