The Riverwind Inn is superb. From the moment we arrived we were made very welcome by Elaine and Leo who as Innkeepers go well beyond the call to make your stay as comfortable and memorable as possible. The breakfast was delicious! We will definitely recommend to friends visiting New England.

We fell in love the moment we arrived at this gorgeous B + B! As we pulled in, Elaine was picking flowers and waving hello. The grounds are impeccable and the rooms were sparkling. Leo and Elaine are so warm and made us feel so welcome in their lovely Inn. The breakfast was so delicious! We cannot wait to go... More

I took my husband there for his birthday the end of June 2010. It was perfect. It was like an early American museum. The hosts as well as the other guests were charming. Highly recommend!

We LOVED the Riverwind Inn. The room was great and there were so many common areas that we felt like we were staying at our own home. The hosts were so friendly and recommended restaurants and places to go. This is a great centralized location and would definitely stay here were I to return to the region.

The Riverwind Inn is right on Main Street. This is close to some nice wineries, the Gillette Castle State Park and Essex Steam Train. Our hosts were very very nice. The room was large and bed was comfy-- we arrived later than we hoped, but instantly felt comfortable. Breakfast the next morning was so delicious. We learn the Deep River... More

Our weekend at The Riverwind was lovely. Elaine and Leo are the best of hosts, friendly, helpful and caring. The rooms are just as you would expect from the website, small, comfortable, impeccably clean and surprisingly quiet, considering the inn was full when we visited. There are three common rooms on the second floor, one with very comfortable sofas and... More

The wife and I decided to take a short mini-vacation. We booked the "Moonlit Suite" at the Riverwind and scheduled excursions to the Essex Steam Train, Riverboat, Gillette Caslte, and Goodspeed Opera House. The Inn is ideally located, as Deep River is roughly 8 minutes north of Essex and 10 minutes south of Goodspeed. The Inn itself is charming, as... More

the new inkeepers have done a wonderful job of updating the decor, yet keeping the country theme intact. We will definetely tell our friends about this jewel.

The Inn is gorgeous, the innkeepers are wonderful, down to earth people, and the breakfast in the morning is out of this world. We will definitely return as soon as we can! I loved the whole experience and would recommend it to anyone!!
