My partner and I had not seen each other in five months and we could not have chosen a better place to spend some much needed time together. We arrived with our miniature schnauzer, Lucy, and we were all were treated like we had come home. The house is beautiful, the grounds are beautiful, and the ladies of the house,... More

Our recent stay (11/13) at The Daniel Rust House was more than we expected. We were visiting from North Carolina to be married in my home state of CT, therefore this was a long weekend that could have been filled with stress. Nothing could have been farther from the truth! From the time of their first warm greetings, the gracious... More

Was up at UConn and decided to stay here for a little something different. So glad I did. I travel a lot for my job and for pleasure. I am discerning in my accommodations. The house is quite historical and comfortable. The food at breakfast is good. The service is personal. The proprietors really try hard to please. Try it,... More

We stay at the Daniel Rust House whenever we visit CT relatives, so we've visited several times over the past three years. We have never been disappointed. Kathy and Germaine are superb owners/hostesses. They are very knowledgeable about the CT area and will gladly recommend places of interest and restaurants. Guests need to watch carefully for the entrance to the... More

My husband and I stayed at the Daniel Rust House from 12/28/13 through 12/29/13. It was one of the best experiences either of us has ever had when staying at a b&b! We stayed in the Anna White room, which was beautifully appointed. In fact, the whole house is this way. Cathy and Germaine welcomed us in and we immediately... More

Just returned to FL from the Daniel Rust House. Dynamo Co-owner and hostess, Germaine, made my stay the best it could possibly be. I immediately felt at home there while staying for 4 nights. (Co-owner Kathy was away). Breakfast was creative and abundant. Each morning Germaine had a new menu with delicious choices such as cheese omlets, qiche, Belgian waffles,... More

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here for a weekend. The grounds and stay were very lush and accommodating. The B & B is on a large wooded lot with lots of wildlife. The building traces its roots from Colonial times and is steeped in history, which the hosts obviously very much enjoy demonstrating and explaining by... More

What a lovely review. We cannot thank you enough for your kind words Will. It was our pleasure meeting you and your family and we are glad you enjoyed your stay. And yes, our Farmers Mkt. and the Nathan Hale Homestead are 2 of our most favorite things about Coventry too. Glad you liked them!! More

The Daniel Rust House is a cozy, comfortable and clean bed and breakfast with lots of wonderful history. The rooms are beautifully appointed with lovely accents and antiques, the beds are comforatble, and the breakfast is delicious. But the best parts about this B & B are the gracious hosts Germaine and Cathy, who obviously love their home and their... More

What a wonderful place! Cathy and Germaine were not only great hosts but wonderful cooks as well. We're still talking about the breakfasts we had there. After staying at several inns and B&B's during a trip through New England in October, this was far and away the highlight of the trip. We felt instantly welcome, and we're looking forward to... More

While on a trip to see colleges with my son recently, we stayed at the Daniel Rust House. It was such a great experience and the Innkeepers, Cathy and Germaine quickly felt like family. Their historic home is beautiful (and clean) and the breakfast is fabulous. Cannot wait to go back again!
