I wish I had checked with Tripadvisor before staying one night at this place. The few positive reviews must be from the 20% or so that didn't have any problems, but my stay was right on par with the other negative reviews posted here. Loud, profanity, party atmosphere. Unfriendly, unapologetic staff. Our site was so small that we refused to... More

A nice campground but sites are on top of each other and lack privacy. The sites all had plenty of shade. Family oriented, lots of kids, but it was quiet at night. Charge for showers and wifi access. Convenient to Rte 95 so good for a overnight start. Rates were reasonable for what you got. Accept cash only.

We stay at Riverdale annually. The staff is friendly and helpful. They only take cash or checks, so be prepared. Also, if you are staying 5 days or more you may want to check on the weekly rate to get the best price. We love the location. Very close to Hammonassett Beach which has a per car charge during the... This campground is a good location, but seasonal RV's are PACKED in every nook and cranny, There are kids everywhere and usually screaming their way around the campground all day and into the evening. The "quiet" hours are listed as 10 PM -8 AM. What a joke. People are driving their cars and golf carts until 1-2 AM. Our (seasonal)... More

We spent only one night here on our way to somewhere else but I honestly would not mind more time. The landscaping is beautiful. You can tell by the playground and the grounds that they put money back into the place. There are a lot of seasonal campers and it's fun just to walk around and see their places. Our site... More

We spent 4 days here. Our gravel campsite was pretty level. It was a pull through. The sites are close together, but not unbearable. It was quiet during the week. On the weekend there were a lot of young children from the long term sites. It was noisey during the day, but nights were nice. The owners and staff go... More

We reserved a campsite here 3 months in advance and were told to pay by snailmail as they do not take plastic for some reason. We required a big rig 50 amp site for our 38' raptor and wifi as my wife works during the summer when we are on the road with the family. We called ahead to ask... More

Campsites were fine. Nice and level and easy entry and exit. Staff was not very friendly upon check-in. They weren't mean or anything. Just not very welcoming or friendly. Also the place was about 80-90 percent seasonal campers who all seemed that know each other but we're not friendly to travelers like us.

Too bad, really, since this could be a great campground. But I have been here twice now, and the layout does not favor larger rigs. Had a back-in in July, 2014 that left my 5th wheel hanging out in the street. Asked for a pull through this time, and there is no way I can maneuver in and out of... More

If you have small children, this is not the camp ground for you. Sights are too close, people drinking and yelling profanities all night long. It seemed management had no control over their guests and didn' t care. I think I actually saw one of the owners partying with the loud guests. No respect for younger families.
