I come here when I attend the sports car racing at Lime Rock Park, the most beautiful track in the US. The Locust Tree B&B is about 20 minutes away and the owners are pleasant, accommodating and the entire home is spotless. Heidi cooks a great breakfast and they are always willing to help. I highly recommend this lovely spot,... More

A very enjoyable experience. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a friendly country atmosphere. It wasn't a hotel, it is a home well shared by the very gracious owners. The room and bathroom were very clean and the breakfast was made to order. The house is beautiful and cozy.

My husband and I like to stay in places like this the Locust Tree was like home. As soon as you walk in the door you are greeted like family the Inn Keepers were very sweet. Our room was very clean and neat. The breakfast was awsome. Fresh home made jam and fresh coffee. Then also home made butter milk... More

House was dirty, dirty dishes from the night before. Alcohol bottles over the counter. The so called #1 room master with own bathroom was dusty. The breakfast consist of an open bag of 2-3 bagels a morning. I had to go searching for sugar and creamer. The atmosphere was "cold" like the owners! Never a hello unless we said something... More

The northwest part of Connecticut has apparently made a determined effort to keep out major chain establishments -- even when you can find them, they stick out like a sore thumb. This leads to a small town ambiance that makes a relaxing time easy to achieve. Another effect of this effort is that budget lodging is impossible to find. This... More

Just what we were looking for in a B&B. Not interested in paying high prices for lace and Victorian primness.

We had a room with a private bath. Very clean and comfortable. B+B is located very close to restaurants and a short drive to Norfolk Ct where there are cultural events. John and Heidi are local people and know the area. The breakfest is made to order , whatever a guest would enjoy.

We were struggling to find somewhere to stay near the Litchfield Loop for a Sat/Sun night stay, so we were relieved to find this place. It was not as nice as most of the B&Bs we have stayed in in the States but it was good value. The B&B is on the main road into Canaan but is set back... More
