I should have walked out when I first walked up to the front desk to check in. Stood there a couple of minutes, and the clerk came out of the back office and said "Yeah?". As we rode up in the elevator, looking at two solid inches of dust in the elevator window. The room we were assigned to was... more

My stay at the Clarion was great for me and my family. the staff was friendly and helpful - all in all, it was a very nice stay. The restaurant was very accommodating, taking care of my child that has several food allergies and catering to his needs which was greatly appreciated by my family. more

We held our annual dinner at the Clarion Hotel in April. While there are few places around that can handle 400+ people, the hotel did a terrific job. The service and food were very good and cost effective---which in these times says something. I continue to be impressed by the can-do attitude displayed by the hotel and its staff. more

Totally adequate spot. Bed extremely comfortable, good quality linens. Bath clean, lots of hot water & pressure, Neutrogena hair products. We booked a rate of $96 and noticed a "ski & stay" package at the front desk when checking. $99 for room, 2 breakfasts, vouchers for lounge and restaurant, and a 2for1 ski ticket. Didn't need the ski ticket, but... more

A very useful and functional (but not luxurious!) hotel for business or vacation. The desk staff was very friendly and efficient, and the room was quiet and comfortable. The bathroom was large, clean, and was paneled and floored in a very nice marble stone. All the necessities were present and functional. The bed, while not luxurious, was clean and seemed... more

Hotel was just okay. Was looking for a place close to Lake Compounce and this was it. Check in/out was quick, the room was standard, pulled back bedspread, and bed was not made, coffee and mugs in room but no coffee pot? Front desk was quick to bring one up and some bottle water, but alas, the coffee pot didn't... more

My daughter got married 9/13 and we stayed at the Clarion where the reception was being held. The service was terrible and if you are going to eat don't eat at the restaurant. The food was not good like we had taste tested for the wedding and the breakfast buffet was a disappointment. They came to clean our room 2... more

This is a well-kept property located off the beaten track and near both Lake Compounce Amusement Park and the headquarters for ESPN. Nice, friendly lobby with a restaurant and cocktail lounge. Also a business center and collection of vending machines. The property also features a health club and an indoor swimming pool. Parking is plentiful and on-site. The rooms are... more

My boyfriend and I made a Christmas getaway and chose the Clarion since it was local, well-reviewed, had the features we wanted (restaurant & pool), and took AAA. Here was the plan: check in, swim a bit, have dinner in the restaurant, relax in the room, etc. Convenient and romantic! Maybe our experience was due to its being on Christmas... more
