Will definitely stay again! The staff were very helpful but not crowding. My favorite was curling up with a book and hot chocolate in the lounge after a busy day.My sister loved the hot tub that offered views of the city. Also, there is a game room downstairs. Pet friendly but VERY clean. We love it!

The best part: the hot tub. Nobody else seemed to use it but it was clean and warm. Perfect! The bad part: the bed. It's very old and soft. No support. Neither of us could sleep very well. Service was wonderful and the sale price was a good value, but the bed will probably keep me from coming back.

I can not understand how anyone could give this place a good rating. Realistically the rooms are very small with poor beds and bathrooms. Yes it’s cheap but you will pay the price. This place had to be built back in the mid or earlier 1960’s when Winter Park had not building codes. Not a stairway in the place met... More

I go to Winter Park often during ski season and always stay at The Viking Lodge. It has a great rustic atmosphere and very friendly staff. The rooms that I've stayed in have all been recently updated and are clean and comfortable. A fun place to stay.

It is so hard to travel with my dog so I was very happy to find they allow they. They are clean, convienent, happy and the price is good! The hottub is nice. I enjoyed the ping ping and pool table. The hot chocolate and coffee each morning was a nice touch too!

If you are looking for luxury, this is not your place. But if you are looking for a cozy place to crash after a long day skiing or boarding, this is it. Perfect for hard core skiers or boarders who have one thing on the brain - powder. Friendly staff, lowest price around, and great location. Walk to many bars... More

Older building and simple rooms, but comfortable and cheap. Mni-fridge in the room. Hot tub. Sauna (ask them to fire it up early so it is ready when you want it). Perfect location for "in town" but near the ski resort. Friendly, laid-back staff. For the price, you can't go wrong with it.

On the plus side the beds and towels were clean. On the negative the water dripped in the tub, the force of the shower was quite weak, the doors and windows let in drafts and the street noise made it hard to sleep well. The bathroom sink was chipped and old looking, the carpet was worn out, and the electrical... More

The rooms were exactly as posted on their site. Quaint and rustic, minimally furnished, lighting is very limited and should be upgraded. Most importantly, everything was functional and clean. there is definitely maintenance work that needs to be done, and the new owners will get to that in time, I'm sure. The staff and owners were friendly and very helpful.... More

Dear Jay, Thank you for the review of The Viking Lodge. Love your “Room Tip”, yes our building is old – some parts dating back to the late 1940’s. On your next visit I might suggest looking at our King rooms, they are in the newer part (1970’s) part of the building. We have recently made some upgrades including bathroom... More

Tiny little closet of a room. Smallest tv ever. $80/night for a double bed and zero service. Total hole. It smells like urine, there is no tv, our only tiny window looks out to someones door. When I asked a staff person in the tshirt shop if we could change rooms, he was very confused and said the owner would... More

Dear Christina, Thank you for your feedback on The Viking Lodge. It is very unfortunate that you were not completely satisfied with your stay. I cannot disagree with you that many of our rooms are small but we do price these rooms accordingly. Depending on the dates of your stay and when you made your reservation $80 may have been...
